"With a name like Beverly Hills Plaza Hotel & Spa you would expect a really posh hotel. But after staying there I’m afraid I found the hotel to not be as swanky as the name may sound. The first oddity you have to deal with is a strange room numbering scheme. Our room, for example, was #521 but we were actually on the 3rd floor—I think. It’s a little hard to tell but it’s definitely not on the 5th floor. And they don’t have an elevator that goes direct to any specific floor so you wind up going up and down multiple staircases to get to your room. That’s very awkward if you have your arms full of luggage. Of course, you can have a bellman carry your bags but then there’s a tip to be paid. Once you get to your room you have some other annoyances such as a limitation on the number of devices you can have on the WiFi at one time: one. Between my wife and I we had four: two phones and two iPads. The heater is very effective, perhaps a little too effective. When it’s on it’s on—it’s running in high speed so you feel the wave of heat until it turns off again. The pool & the landscaping of the grounds are lovely. But at night as you’re walking through the grounds to your room there are places where the bright landscaping lights are shining right into your eyes. There are no handholds in the shower or bath. Our room was noisy. The people in the room next to ours were up until 2:30 a.m. coming and going, walking back and forth, talking loudly. The floor is not carpeted; it is hard which makes it even noisier. The hotel management offered to move us to another room but at 2:30 a.m. we really weren’t excited about moving. We had what according to the hotel is calling an Executive Suite. But, IMO, the rooms are not large enough to be called suites. Some of these complaints may see to be minor quibbles but if you’re going to hold yourself out as: “… the most celebrated location in the heart of Beverly Hills. The moment you cross the threshold into our boutique hotel, you will be transported into a world of unsurpassed luxury, and unparalleled service.” you really should work hard to get the basics right."

"I came in from out of town for cosmetic surgery. I stayed at the hotel for two weeks..it was so comfortable. My room was perfect- a lot of light, I actually felt like I was home. The staff could not have been nicer! They were checking on me regularly to see what they could do to make my stay more comfortable. I especially loved the people at the front desk! THANK YOU!! I highly recommend!!"

"I love this fantastic and gorgeous Hotel! Wow. The Medí Spa and wellness center really made me feel amazing. I tried the microneedle stem cell facial and I loved it. An instant lift. The the service was amazing. My practicitioner was so kind and Knowledgeable. This is my new home and I can’t wait to try the restaurant too which I am told is world class!"

"We had the wonderful experience to stay 3 nights in this beautiful hotel! If you love vintage and also modern style then this is your hotel! We arrived at 1pm and received a warm welcome at the entrance. As we had a bad experience before at another hotel we had to go directly to the reception team and ask if they still have free rooms. And gladly they had :) We asked for a beautiful big room and they asked us if we have problems to walk stairs as they have a few nice rooms but we´d have to walk a bit. As we like walking it wasn´t a problem for us. You just have to know that there´s just one lift to the first floor and then you have to walk stairs, but for sure the reception team helps you with your luggage. The second room they showed us was love at first sight! There was a huge living room, a big bath and a big sleeping room. And a really nice carpet was in all the rooms... The cleaning team did a good job and we never missed something. The food in the restaurant is delicious and the room service is quick (even they have to walk a lot of stairs)... So all in all it was a great experience because the whole team (reception, restaurant, cleaning team, gardeners etc) is very nice :)"
