"Pictures definitely make it seem nicer than it is. Rooms are pretty dated. They also have a ton of fees aside from booking the hotel. We stayed three nights and at the end was charged an extra $500 for parking and a resort fee. I would never stay here or recommend it based off of that alone. The walls are also thin and can hear everything in the other rooms. They also give you a QR code to get your car, order room service, etc. We used it and services were either not provided or we had to walk down to the first building lobby and request in person.I would choose somewhere else"
"Overall just okay. Won’t stay again due to an occurrence that took place during our stay. Cons Walls were very thin so it’s very easy to hear the people upstairs walking around; can also easily hear your next door neighbors. Toilet flushed slow in our room Pros Customer service was good for the most part 4/5. Valet services and drivers were very friendly and quick to respond The premises were well kept and aesthetically pleasing overall. The size of the room was pretty spacious and I did enjoy the outdoor patio with the view."
"I loved everything about this hotel! The location was perfect because it was close to the Getty center, Santa Monica area, and also not too far from DTLA. I also really liked how attentive all the hotel staff was. Not to mention the amazing room space. I will definitely be staying there for an upcoming LA trip."
"This is a pet friendly hotel and my room stank to high heaven of pet urine and odors. It was an overwhelming stench like an indoor kennel. While the room appeared clean, the carpet was old and presumably soaked in years of animal pee. I couldn’t be in it for more than a few minutes without feeling sick and there was no way I or anyone could sleep in that room. The front desk then upgraded my room to one across the hall. It stank too. Not quite as bad but I didn’t have another 45 minutes to kill negotiating another room change so I stayed but the smell actually awakened me three times during the night. Beyond gross. Plus, the air conditioning was broken (although that was fine because it was cold outside and the room temp was comfortable). I couldn’t get out of there fast enough in the morning. It’s been 4 hours since I left and I still can’t get that nasty smell out of my nose. Another note: The “restaurant” for breakfast is, in reality, a conference room. Four walls with tables and chairs, that’s it. When we arrived, the empty tables were all filled with dishes that hadn’t been cleared, there were no visible staff, and the place just had a weird vibe. We left and went to a coffee shop nearby. Michael, the valet, was a delight. Nicole at the front desk did her best to be helpful and it’s not her fault that the rooms smell disgusting. I would never stay here again or recommend this hotel to others."
"I don't usually write reviews, but I was very disappointed. This was advertised as a 4-star hotel... but the room was very dated. The furniture didn't match with lots of wear and tear/ falling apart, the decor was dated, photos on the wall are crooked, big/cold/drafty....just overall not a very comfortable setting. The old sliding glass door to a shared outdoor space along the perimeter of the building did not feel secure. The amenities in the room were very minimal/ low quality.... Also the walls are SO thin, I was woken up multiple times overnight by people just walking to their rooms. Overall I would expect this quality from a hotel at a fraction of the cost (I paid almost $400 for one night). Also, $20 for a glass of wine at the bar? that's way too expensive... The staff was very friendly and helpful, but once in my room I felt like I was in an old motel (adding photos to show the quality/condition of the furniture in the room). I hope this hotel takes the recent comments to heart as it is well overdue for a massive upgrade/remodel."
