"I booked this hotel through Airbnb, for two nights with two rooms each night, and absolutely loved my stay. Convenient location, right by the water, and clean facility made the room and location 5 stars. But you’d expect with a beautiful stay you’d get the same level of customer service, but unfortunately that’s not the case. Mary at the front desk was extremely rude for some reason and which really saddens me because I enjoyed staying here and recommendED (past tense) people here. But after speaking to Mary about 2 weeks after my reservation inquiring about the hold on my card that’s still there after 14 business days, she gave me the run around with an attitude and pointed me everywhere else and still wasn’t assisted. I called in to inquire how long the hold usually is for, and I was told, “10 business days” after explaining to Mary that my reservation was over 10 business days ago, she abruptly cut me off and states “oh there’s nothing we can do contact your bank”. After she cuts me off I realize she might be having a hard day, so I asked to speak to another team member or a manager and she tells me the manager stepped out and to call back tomorrow at 10 AM. (Hard to believe there’s no manager from Monday March 4th 5:30 pm to Tuesday March 5th at 10 am), and then transfer me to “reservations” where I stayed on hold for five minutes and no one answered. I believe the staff is a representation of the hotel, I don’t understand why you have someone answering your phone lines with such poor customer service skills. Unfortunately I won’t be staying here in the future due to this, seems like once they have your money ($1,200) and your stay is over they no longer care about hospitality."

"Had a great stay for work purposes. Room was clean. Food was great at the restaurant. Heather at the front desk was super helpful and accommodating. Would definitely recommend."

"Overall, the hotel and its rooms are beautiful and very well maintained. It is a very comfortable stay. My only critiques that would move this rating to 5 stars are 1. My tub had rust stains around the drain and hair from the previous occupant, and 2. The fitness center aerobics equipment look like they'd been used outdoors for a few years before being brought inside."

"Initially, I was hesitant to get a room here. When I called the 800#, I could tell the call was routed to a call center. Mainly because the representatives are not familiar with the location. I was scheduling a visit during the holidays and really needed a view of the ocean. The representative reassured me that the room indeed had a view. I arrived after dark and could not determine if the view was as promised at night. The porter who brought our luggage to the room informed us we would love the view. I still wasn't certain. Until I awoke in the morning. The view was nice. There was a road out front, but surprisingly, traffic noise wasn't that high. The room was clean (I pulled back sheets and inspected the bathroom and floors). I was pleasantly surprised. The balcony was just big enough for 2 people to sit. We brought our small pooch along, and the hotel had designated places for them to go poo. That area was also clean. I will definitely be going back. I provided a 4 rating for service. That is only because the bar area serving the food always seems to only have one person who served as bartender and food server, but if you wanted room service they tacked on multiple fees that to me, seemed unreasonable. Automatically adding a 17% gratuity and room service fee. The other outrageous fee was for self-parking. It's almost the same as valet, which was $36 per day. We chose valet, but had a friend park and anything over an hour, I believe, was $33. Our check-in experience at the front desk was just ok. There are so many things in walking distance of the Redondo Beach Pier! Overall, we had a nice time and enjoyed the amenities. The staff was friendly and the patrons of the hotel were also friendly. In today's society, that is also important!"

"We were treated well, friendly staff, great location, wonderfull view. Nice room but I felt like it, the air,, dried me out. The pool was nice but dry towels were short. Happy Hour at the bar was friendly but really pricey! A great experience overall. We were there with a tour group but would normally stay at a less expensive place."
