"My 12 year old Sonata’s check engine light came on and it started loosing power when accelerating. I had been taking my car for oil changes at a local place for the last 4 years, but figured I should get it checked out by a Hyundai service center since I didn’t want to mess with the engine. I had really polite, helpful and expert service from start to finish. Here’s why. 1. They provided me with a courtesy drop off and pick up, and the gentleman who dropped me off was very friendly and polite. 2. The person who scheduled my appointment was super polite 3. The Service Agent who helped me was polite, but most importantly, took the time to walk me through any detail I wanted to know about any issue or maintenance recommendation they had. 4. They fixed the issue and did the maintenance that we agreed to on schedule and on price. Here’s the interesting bit. Although I was mentally prepared to spend about 1K on a car that really isn’t worth that much now - the issue was caused by a part that was still fully under warranty! So I didn’t have to spend anything. And they were super transparent that my car was totally road worthy. However- they did recommend 8 or so preventative maintenance items that were quite overdue on my car - granted I don’t drive much any more - and I told them to do whatever would fit in my 1K budget. The rest I’ll do in a couple of years. When it comes to me, I tend to spend more when I get good service."
