"be careful with billing. if you look at other reviews you would see that there is a trend. i went in for my wisdom removal twice under local anesthesia. i paid for everything before going into my first procedure because of all the bad reviews they’ve had on billing. the second time I went in for my wisdom removal, I was hesitant to go under anesthesia because i didn’t think my insurance would cover it and I expressed that to the ladies in the office. she told me that she’d call my insurance and confirm if they cover it just to make sure that going under local anesthesia would be an option for me. i get a phone call a week before my procedure and she told me that my insurance would cover everything after talking to them directly so I proceeded with going under anesthesia my second time just to, at the end of the day, pay double the amount I’ve already paid beforehand. don’t know why she told me they would cover it. It’s uncertain if they even talked to my insurance directly to confirm. I would constantly get emails stating that I owed them money every month after my procedure and I would call them to see if that was right because to my knowledge I didn’t have to owe anything and at the time, the person at the office would tell me to ignore it and that they were still waiting on my insurance. After over 6 months of getting those emails and calling them, they finally billed me double and called me stating that my insurance didn’t actually cover it and to discuss it with them instead. i would say it was on my part for not following up with my insurance despite what the lady in the office said to me. However, I don’t know why she would tell me that they would fully cover my second procedure especially a week before my procedure. i would’ve not went under the anesthesia route the second time if they didn’t tell me that. I would just suggest you to be careful with billing and question what they say"
"I’m conflicted. The procedure went well and I think the doc is skilled but pain management afterward was abominable. They DID NOT prescribe anything for pain other than a large dose of ibuprofen for extraction of four impacted wisdom teeth. I called the office when my 16-yo was in excruciating pain, not long after the procedure, and was treated with disdain. He is red-headed and has always come out of anesthesia and processed medications more quickly than most, which I explained. When I asked for something stronger to treat his pain, which they instructed me to do if pain became unmanageable, they treated me with palpable skepticism, like a drug seeker. For the record, I am a Master’s level RN with extensive experience in addiction medicine. Research shows this type of irresponsible and neglectful pain management may actually increase the misuse of prescribed medications as well as illegal and street drugs. The doc sent another, stronger NSAID that is only meant for use orally as an extension of IV treatment. I don’t know if he received the medication IV because I also never received information about the medications used during the procedure. It did not work any better than ibuprofen and is much more dangerous. I never bothered calling back since they were SO dismissive. Regarding the surgical assistant - what kind of credential does she hold? She gave me and my child medication instructions and warned us of the risks of addiction with opioid medications. This level of patient education usually requires at least an RN, but she did not place the IV, which an RN would be able to do. She appears to be skilled and knowledgable. Just not sure she is practicing within her appropriate scope. Not sure what to think. Hope no one in my fam needs oral surgery again anytime soon."
"Everything went smoothly for my daughter's wisdom teeth removal. Everyone was knowledgeable and very friendly. Dr. Mehrabi called us that evening to check in on her and asked if we had any questions. Highly recommend!!"
"Advanced Dental Specialist is absolutely amazing! The Front desk is very welcoming. The staff treats you with such care. Mehran Mehrabi was so wonderful. He took the time to go over my options and explained everything perfectly. I had a full mouth extraction and I have no problems at all. It was not as painful as I had thought. He did an amazing job. Even called to check in to see how I was doing. I will highly recommend Advanced Dental Specialist to everyone! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"
"I put off extracting 3 remaining wisdom teeth for years & years. Dr. Mehrabi & his staff made me feel very calm, comfortable & safe from my original consultation all the way through surgery. ADS provided all the information I needed to make my recovery easier, followed up with a personal phone call & accepted my employer's insurance (Guardian). Dr. Mehrabi is an excellent oral surgeon whom you & your family can trust. I would highly recommend them."
