"My cat had an ultrasound at this place and when I called them to discuss the results they refused to let me talk to the vet who had performed the procedure. I believe I should have had that right since I was trying to decide whether to euthanize my baby based mostly on that information. They were not at all empathetic which was disappointing."
"I brought my cat here for the I -131 treatment for his hyperthyroid per recommendation from my vet. The staff was very kind and Dr.Hewes was thorough with both the pre examination and with explaining the process to me. My 13-year-old boy had never stayed over night in a kennel setting, and I was concerned with how stressed he would be for the week. But I greatly appreciated the daily updates, and I had zero concerns with his stay as you could easily tell through the staff interactions that he was in good hands. I look forward to seeing how he takes to this treatment and how it improves his health."
"The staff and veterinarian working the day I went were helpful and informative. I received immediate results which I appreciated. I do wish I'd been told when I made the appointment that it was going to be a rather lengthy wait. The procedure took approximately 1 & 1/2 hours. Also, I didn't like having to check in on a tiny bench outside and not be allowed to go inside. I assume this is supposedly Covid prevention, but literally every other kind of business is back to normal, except veterinarianary offices it seems. I see no reason to continue such Covid procedures. I will wear a mask if required, but I want to come inside and see the facility. Also have a place to wait, check-in and checkout that is not a tiny bench outdoors."
"I have a miniature poodle with new onset aortic regurgitation and lethargy requiring a cardiac echo study. St first, I was dissatisfied due to some scheduling issues, but the staff and vet quickly called back to accommodate my boy. The vet apologized profusely but more importantly he dazzled me with his clinical expertise and care with which he approached him. He took time to explain things carefully and although I am a human radiologist/oncologist with expertise, I learned a thing or two about how dogs are different from their owners biologically and socially. Please, if you're looking around for outstanding academic quality with a staff that cares and goes beyond the mundane scheduling desk, consider Veterinary Imaging Center of San Diego your first choice!"
