"Quest chose to remove their receptionists - I had to help so many old people navigate difficult automated check-in machines, some not feeling well with cancer, etc, and it makes me really sad to see a company who made $1B in profits alone last year choosing cost-cutting and profits over the care of their patients (and our community) to this extent. I signed in for a walk-in appt while fasting and waited for over an hour with no end in sight as to when I would be called. At the recommendation of my girlfriend, I finally gave up on Quest and drove to another local lab and was in and out in less than 10 minutes! The other lab accepted my low level insurance, and there was a real person waiting to say hello at the desk when I walked in and cheerfully help with quick registration. My recommendation would be to avoid Quest and seek out smaller local labs (of which there are many) for a much better experience and to support more ethical business practices."
"I tried to get x-rays for the last two days at Quest. I’ve always liked quest so I had my doctor send the request there. So yesterday at 5:00 PM I went to do the x-rays and they said sorry we are not taking any more x-rays today. They are supposed to take patients until 5:30 PM. Today I went back at 4:30 PM and there was a sign on the door saying we stopped taking x-rays at 4:00. Tomorrow I will call my doctor and send the request somewhere else. Seems very unprofessional to change the posted times 2 days in a row. I am in a lot of pain and thanks to quest I have to continue to suffer longer."
"Adventist health is another company that is worried about the dollar and not the patients by not having enough staff to handle the business coming in and do not tell you or bother to inform you of their ridiculous wait times for a simple xray. They need to get on the ball by just maybe showing wait times at their locations or advising patients!"
"I called to make an appointment for (2) CT exams, one for lower back and other for neck. I was able to get dates sets for the exams within 5 days-YES! I had called Kern Radiology, asking for the same. They had my exams set for three weeks away. That was the soonest, I said no way and canceled them. Everyone at Quest has been nice and wonders to work with, thank you and good bye to Kern Rad!"
"Absolutely disappointed in this location. My one year old daughter needed a X ray done ASAP & her insurance & the referral department from her doctors office told me I could come here , or the one on Chester . I chose this place first because it's closer to me , well I call and it's busy , wait for someone to call me back and when I finally talk to the lady i explained to her my situation & she said yes you can come here & then she asked what insurance my daughter had once I told her she said " OH NO we don't take that kind here " but in the rudest way possible . If it wasn't for me already stressed enough as it is after being back and forth on the phone for almost 2 hours at that point I would have remembered her name . Come to 4 o clock when my daughters referral department called again asking what happened to which I explained to them the lady said I couldn't go there they said " no you take her there or the other location because they accept her insurance " & they resent the order again . I went to the one on Chester about 4:20 and was in & out within 30 minutes .I explained to The receptionist there what happened and she apologized saying she has no idea why that other location told me differently. Long story short I'll be calling to make a complaint tomorrow morning . I stressed all day trying to figure out who would take her in as she needed the X ray to confirm she has a hip dysplasia. How rude this lady was at Stockdale location . Next time I hope she gets her facts right instead of writing someone off because of the insurance they have ."
