"During July 30th and 31st, 2023, we had our lodging at the Sure Stay Hotel by Best Western in Seaside Monterey. However, our experience with the front desk staff left much to be desired, as they were clearly in need of intensive customer service training. Additionally, we encountered an issue with the cleanliness of the room's floor. It was evident that the floor had neither been swept nor mopped properly. This was particularly bothersome, especially when we wanted to relax, take off our shoes, and wear bedroom slippers. The presence of sand all over the floor gave the impression that someone had just come from the beach, despite us just arriving. Considering the shortcomings we experienced, we wouldn't choose to stay there again in the future."

"Room was mediocre for the price. Air conditioning didnt work, fridge was on borrowed time and had a wobble to it, and the t.v. was outdated and too small for the room. Wint be staying here again and I'd recommend not wasting your money at this establishment"

"Friendly staff, clean room. However, it smelled of paint or cleaning chemical. We eventually got used ti the smell, but had caused me a little head ache."

"Friendly staff. They let us check-in early with no questions. The room was very clean. The location is a little less glamorous (surrounded by highways), but it's pretty safe around. Overall great experience."
