"Such a beautiful old theater. It's so nostalgic. Sure, it's a little shabby inside in reality, but it's so fun to go to a place that really is a classic old theater! I'd really recommend checking out the Rocky Horror Picture Show on Halloween and Valentine's weekend. It's a fun stage show along with the movie. The shows sell out though, so get your tickets well in advance! Be advised it's definitely an adult show. Refreshments are very affordable. The only minus is that the bathrooms are very small."
"Went to see Joe Bob Briggs and it was really awesome! Of course he was great...always is,but the theater itself was really nice. Had a cozy throw-back Era feel to it that is always welcome. Kinda felt on the spot when staff asked to take photos of me...guessing it was the snakeskin pants, unicorn shirt, and cowboy hat I had on,but I'm never one to turn down a photo opp lol. Hopefully some other speaker will pull me back that direction from Seattle."
"A wonderful old theatre. Chairs aren't half bad (sat in the back where they seemed to be a little bit newer / more comfortable), much more comfortable than at the tower."
"Nice place to watch a theatrical show. We attended a show put on by Porsha Production and it was good. Their sound system works fine. The decor inside was good and the seats were comfortable (for older style theater seats). Overall was fine, but a few improvements could be made for better times. The food counter could not produce fast enough for customers. Took about 15 minutes of waiting to get 4 water bottles and some customers just wanted water bottles. Maybe consider putting vending machines for bottled water and sodas. The men’s restroom was clean but only has 1 toilet and 1 sink with 3 urinals. The place has a capacity of 560 people so there could be a line. It was warm around 80s the evening we were here and the theater room wasn’t cool enough even when all the seats were not fully occupied."
"Great space for events, recently attended and was a part of Sacramento 350s Ode To Earth Event. Was run very well and they had a silent auction. The vibe of the theater is very old school art deco mixed with an awesome mural on the outside. Restrooms very old probably should be updated but it keeps with the historical feel of this place. I was lucky enough to check both greenroom spaces upstairs and their basement very cool! Upstairs has some posters from pervious events and downstairs is great for having snacks and store equipment. Will definitely have this place on my radar for future events. Would love to check out the movie nights."
