"Worst administration I have ever encountered. Terrible communication and contacting a patient 30 minutes before their appointment to mention that they had messed up. They failed to submit things to insurance when I first went to them weeks ago (takes a couple of days according to them) and now they want me to pay out of pocket. I would not recommend this disorganized establishment to anyone."

"Great doctors - terrible Communications between departments. I received a call from radiology that they are waiting on insurance to clear an MRI. That was ordered 3 weeks ago and the radiology dept said it takes a couple days. They told me I had to pay out of pocket or wait for the next appointment which wouldn't be for another 3 weeks. I am extremely disappointed with the staff here. To top it off they called me 45 minute before my check-in to inform me of this while I was already on the road and called off of work to make it happen. Again great doctors, but this review is a reflection of the disorganization and lack of communication within their staff and departments."

"The staff here is great and the facility is nice and clean. I had meniscus repair with Dr. Gambardella and he is amazing. Communicates and articulates well, skilled in his craft, listens, cares, and is collaborative with his patients. Explains things slowly and throughly, in a way that is understandable and easy to absorb and doesn't push for 1 treatment or the other. He allows the patients to make decisions. Great team and great staff from phone call, to consultation, to surgery, to post op."

"Firstly, the very first time I called this place to schedule an appointment I had a problem. They kept transferring me over to other departments, without even telling me which department and eventually the call just cut off while I was on hold. Then I called back and was being transferred around again until I told them I wanted to speak to a supervisor. After speaking to him I was told to send him an email directly to schedule the appointment. Eventually I get an appointment, a couple months later I’m finally told I need surgery, then a few weeks later I was told the kind of surgery I need. I have been calling this office and leaving messages nearly every day for almost 3 weeks to get my surgery scheduled and no one has called me back or even attempted to give me any answers. My condition is getting worse every day. My insurance is covered through a TV show that I do, which pays for anything up to $250,000, and I can’t even get anyone on the phone. I am done with these people, I now have to start all over from square 1 with another doctor somewhere else. If you have a serious condition and are considering seeking medical services here, my advice is this: RUN. FAR. AWAY."

"I saw Dr Trentacosta at Kerlan-Jobe in Tarzana for an ACP knee injection. I have seen her for different injections over a two-year period and was satisfied with her care. She performed the procedure, it was painful (I was not surprised by this, as I had heard it can be painful). Before I was discharged home Dr Trentacosta reviewed some post instructions, we discussed pain medication and she said she would transmit a prescription for pain medication to the pharmacy listed in my patient record. I stopped at the pharmacy on the way home. No pain medication was ordered. I attempted to call the office at Kerlan-Jobe only to find out it was closed for the day. I was informed by the operator they did not handle calls for pain medication prescriptions after hours. I went home and reviewed the after-visit notes. Dr Trentacosta wrote a very detailed summary with no mention of pain medication. What disturbs me most about this visit is the doctor verbalized to me that she would take care of this matter and did not. Her medical assistant supposedly emailed me twice about pre, during, and post procedure instructions. I never received the instructions. I was never advised to have someone drive me to and from this painful procedure. I prepared myself for the visit by using various internet sites to obtain information. This entire episode creates distrust between patient and doctor. I will not use this doctor or clinic again. I would not trust her to give me a referral or follow through on any plans regarding my personal health after this type of treatment care."
