Palace Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, San Francisco

"As hotel guests, you are supposed to reserve a table for breakfast on the weekend. Unfortunately, nobody informed us beforehand, and this is the first time I have encountered such a bizarre policy at a 'Luxury Collection' hotel. While we were waiting(circa 15-20min), more than half of the tables were unoccupied. The situation remained the same once we were seated and had dined. Additionally, there was no fresh-squeezed orange juice; it was served from a plastic package."

"The Palace hotel is incredibly beautiful- I stayed here for a week and was amazed with the lobby every time I saw it. Really cool to learn 13 presidents had spent the night there and 19 had visited... the gym was definitely a bit small for such a large hotel but the rooms were very nice (they have byredo shampoo and soap in each room too). Last thing is the location is not very nice.. someone I knew did get robbed at night coming back to the hotel so definitely do your best to not be alone at night."

"We had a wonderful recent experience at the Palace Hotel -- not only is the hotel beautiful and historic, but the service is exceptional. We arrived for check-in as a nearby parade was getting set-up (resulting in a number of road closures). The valets kinda came to get our bags and car from a block away! At check-in they upgraded us to a truly palatial Palace Suite (we could have hosted a party for 30 people in the living room!) and dinner at the Pied Piper was delicious and even included some extra chocolate dipped strawberries. The breakfast buffet the next morning at the Garden Court was tasty and fresh, with many options (and a better value than many other brunch places in SF). We can't wait to be back!"

"The Palace Hotel is a beautiful and luxury hotel located on New Montgomery Street in downtown San Francisco. This is the hotel that NBA players use when the visit to play the Golden State Warriors. The hotel has an amazing breakfast (buffet and menu item) that anyone can partake in. I went for breakfast with colleagues and was impressed by the decor, food, and waitstaff. Now, the food is pricey, but everyone deserves to be treated luxuriously. Check out the pictures."

"STUNNING! From the history to the architecture to the rooms to the service, not a beat was missed. This is what I imagine when I want luxury accommodations. The highlights were the plaques placed throughout explaining the history of everything down to the mail chute. The staff was top tier. The valet and bellmen where characters and so fun to chat with - the front desk made check-in easy. I appreciated that they took the time to remember my name and used it throughout my stay. It made everything feel more personal. Housekeeping and room service also went above an beyond. Beyond that the location is perfect for getting around the city. Very close to the Trolley and safety wise the area was good. (for what you can reasonably expect in a city of this size)."
