"This place is amazing. Reasonable pricing, incredibly clean, fantastic customer service, kind, and helpful staff. I’ve stayed here twice now and I’m not disappointed. It’s pretty minimalist, but it’s a great place to stay to visit the city with a very clean bathroom and decent storage."

"The SW is at an excellent location between Little Italy and Chinatown. The area outside is bustling and noisy with city dwellers and tourist. The usual trash on sidewalks with plenty of homeless but if you don't mind great location, rooms are sparse but clean not alot of amenities."

"The location is awesome!! Surrounding food and coffee is wonderful, the rooms are clean and efficient, the location felt safe and there were plenty of parking spaces in their underground ramp. I loved it here."

"I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. For the price, I was expecting to put up with some serious drawbacks, but I didn't have to at all! The value was great. Everything was very well maintained - better than what I am used to at Hilton or Marriott properties. The amenities are simpler, but compared to the pricing of the superchain properties on the peninsula, I would pick this again gladly. The staff were attentive, accommodating, and professional. Only a few cons: The bed was firmer than most Americans would prefer, as is typical for a Chinese hotel. The neighborhood can be loud in the fun part of the evening thanks to live entertainment nearby. Finding your room with the floor layout may be confusing the first time. They stored my bags both before check-in and after check-out which was very nice. The location is great - you can walk to many authentic Chinese establishments and a ton of Italian restaurants and cafes in North Beach. I enjoyed. No car needed either - frequent bus service from multiple lines with stops less than a block away made getting anywhere in SF easier than I expected (use Google Maps for transit directions). Everything was very clean. Make your own plans for breakfast/coffee and enjoy the savings."

"Simple but clean and nice rooms. Excellent location on the edge of Chinatown and North Beach. Secure parking (for a fee). Both times we have gone there have been plenty of parking spots. Only real complaint is that someone has to unlock the front door every time you want to enter the building."
