"We stayed here for new year night. Quick access to rooms, but noisy at night. We had ear plugs ( as a must for this place) and it was good sleep. Bathroom/shower were remodeled, looking fresh and new"

"It's convenient, inexpensive and almost a boutique type except no one bothers to keep them up or even attempts to bring anything into this century. Cheap choices and lackadaisical maintenence makes this a poor example of a choice in San Francisco. There's a reason that they use a picture of the Golden Gate Bridge in their advertising. Because nothing in the hotel is really worthy of a pic."

"I feel I need to start by saying there is *NO A/C* or fans, only a heater, and while this makes sense for San Francisco historically, with climate change this is not acceptable. The rooms got very warm, and being so close to the street it's impossible to sleep with the windows open due to constant noise, so we wound up sweating out all night. This is doubly uncomfortable for me, as I have medical conditions that are exacerbated by heat. The beds are also very, very hard, like a couch pull-out, so if you have a bad back and need the support of a softer mattress you may want to shop around. Those two things aside, this place isn't bad for a budget stay. The service of the staff was wonderful in every interaction. I'm not sure if the man downstairs is the owner or not but he was nothing short of friendly. The room was clean and much of the furnishings seemed new or recently refurbished. It did have a decently sized mini fridge (But do yourself a favor and triple check that it's on! We stored things in our fridge, only to find in the morning that it was all spoiled from being hot-boxed as the refrigerating element was turned off. Our mistake, but we didn't expect this to be left off for guests...) All in all not a bad place to stay at all, but the lack of A/C is a deal breaker for me."

"Not sure if he’s the owner or just a guy who works at the front desk but he was super rude. Decided to not even stay because of his attitude. Take your business elsewhere, where they are actually respectful. Clearly he just wants to start problems instead. -10/10"

"This place accommodated our little 5-day stay here at San Francisco. The room is super cozy and clean, and bigger than I expected. There’s a fridge, microwave and a pretty big TV. The bed’s huge and comfortable, and we can get housekeeping to clean our rooms whenever we needed it - there’s also room service! We were provided with more than enough towels in the shower, as well as soap and shampoo. Additionally, in the mornings, the front desk provided us free tea and coffee to make, and the hotel management are all super friendly, welcoming, accommodating and nice! We had an issue with our toilet flush initially and as soon as we informed them, they fixed it right away. The location is perfect in terms of getting around San Francisco. There are grocery shops nearby in case we needed to buy anything, and it wasn’t too far for us to go to other places to visit e.g. Fisherman’s Wharf, downtown, Chinatown, etc. Absolutely loved and enjoyed our stay!"
