"I read about Cashmere Lux in a woman’s magazine freaturing the CEO, Folashade (Shade) Oloye. I had never come across this salon in my internet searches for hairstyling and wigs since I moved here a bit over a year ago, because she hasn’t advertised with Google to secure top places with certain search words. (Remember, those who appear at the top of search results have paid money to hold those spots.) Her business has grown organically; by organically, I mean with a lot of old fashion hard work and hustling. I love to support women run businesses, and Shade is an absolute Boss!! The owner takes great pride in the work she does. When someone loves what they do this much it shows in the final product! Shade can do hair of ALL types. She specializes in minority hair care, but she did wonders for my thin, fine, damaged hair. I was really only wanting her to make a wig for me, but thought I’d see if she had time to wash/cut while I asked her questions. I will now be a forever client! I’ve always wanted a wig, but I’ve wanted a QUALITY wig. I had not found a place in Rochester that carried the kind of quality I wanted. I’m terrible at doing my own hair, which is also horribly thin, and I just want something that looks amazing AND real. I will update this post once mine is done:) There are salons, and then there is professional haircare. This is definitely professional haircare. Shade saw a much needed area of haircare in Rochester that was being over looked, and she stepped in to fill it. She is so passionate about her line of work! I can’t recommend this salon highly enough."
