"My family has been camping here for years. We stay in the tent area and we love it. This is a must Camp"
"We have camped here for years. We GREATLY APPRECIATE the new enforced rules. We were starting to consider camping elsewhere after having kids. Now that the off leash dogs and late night chaos is in check, we will continue to make this our North Coast camping spot."
"There are 41 new rules at this campground. This has been a fishing destination for my family for generations unfortunately the new campground managers have really soured the experience with the new rules and they are not very accommodating to people who are traveling great distances to visit. They turned my friends away for arriving 2 hours early even though the campsite they reserved was empty and ready for their arrival. They drove to Mendocino rather than pay extra day use fees for the 2 hour early arrival. They will offer you a free coffee in the store under this fake veil of kindness but then they want extra day use fees if you arrive early. They no longer send you gate codes so you must arrive when there is a gate attendant and you can no longer launch a boat before 6am. pretty ridiculous what they are doing to this fishing destination."
"Beautiful and majestic location along the northern coast of California. The fishery is phenomenal and the views are amazing. Campsites are extremely tight but manageable. Too bad the most recent camp host/manager has terrible customer service and prefers to hide or block any negative reviews on their facebook page. It's unfortunate because we've been camping there for several years now but will not be going back any time soon. Hopefully others will have a better experience than our last one."
"The camp managers Terry and Dennis are really nice people and have cleaned it up a lot. The beach is beautiful, the facilities are well maintained. We had a perfect weekend camping and kayaking the river with family."
