Inns of Mendocino

"Well located, lovely cottage, and the place is quiet (JD rooms). The rooms were disappointing, not as beautiful and comfortable as pictured. Our king bed was extremely soft, too soft, we both got a backache. When a person in the bed turns, it makes the other moving as well. In addition, they didn't provide us with a crib or small bed as requested for our son so he had to sleep with us. Fortunately we stayed only 2 nights because we almost didn't sleep at all. The room was very warm as well, we had to keep the windows open at night. In the other room, there was no bath towels. This is not a 4* level hotel."

"Stayed at Packard House Garden Room. The room was spacious, comfortable, and very quiet. The receptionist, Sarah was delightful and helpful. Breakfast was brought to our room each morning. It was nutritious, bountiful and masterfully prepared, nothing continental style about it! The location is quaint and pristine with miles of walking trails around stunning ocean bluffs, beaches, and forest."

"We had the most beautiful stay at the JD House. Every detail in our room was thoughtful and perfect. The complementary breakfast which was brought to our room in the morning (chia seed pudding w/ berries, biscuits with gravy, fresh coffee and juice) was delicious. The staff were friendly and gave us great suggestions on how to spend some time in the area. I would highly recommend a stay with the Inns of Mendocino. We can not wait to return!"

"Our stay at this property was a wonderful experience. My husband and I stayed in the main building which felt like arriving home, the main foyer and lobby is chic, well appointed and even decorated for Christmas very tastefully. We spent a bit of time in this area for the free wine and cheese hour in the evening, which was a lovely experience, the hosts knew a lot about the local wineries and showcased them every evening. Our room was elegant and chic, with a view of the ocean that we enjoyed watching whilst drinking our morning coffee, that was brought to us. I have to say the bed was the most comfortable plush nights sleep I have had in a hotel, the linens were soft and pillows perfection. We had a gas fireplace in our room which added a lovely ambiance. Our room was so cozy and elegant, nestled right by the ocean, which we could hear at night which made our trip feel extra special. The breakfast was a wonderful treat every morning and very filling. I have to say all the staff that we interacted with were welcoming, warm and made us feel very at home. I will definitely stay at this property again when in the area."

"We stayed in the Packard House and absolutely loved it! Our room had a very comfortable king bed, a fireplace/heater, great bathroom amenities, and was super clean. Breakfast was brought to the room between 8:30-9:30am and was a little different each day, unique, and yummy. There’s a nice supermarket 2 blocks away. The start of the headlands hike was maybe a 5 minute walk away and completely worth the time to do the 4.2 mile hike. Downtown was also a 5 minute walk away. I highly recommend the Inns of Mendocino. Any of the 3 buildings would be worth a stay and we would definitely stay there again!"
