"We really enjoyed our 3 day stay. Rooms are clean and had everything we needed. Matt shared ideas with us on places to go, things to do, visit and eat. We were able to go to many of the groves, neighboring towns, do some shopping, eat good food, see the black beach at Shelters Cove and even drove through a couple of trees. Our time was very relaxing. We picked up sandwiches one night at the Redwoods Market and Deli across the street and enjoyed sitting out on the deck outside our room drinking coffee. Wi-Fi is spotty but we found that to be the case all up Hwy 101 so we knew what to expect. We would highly recommend this place and everyone should see the redwoods. We would definitely go back."

"We stopped here as a traveler's refugee (just to stretch our legs and ask to use the restroom) during a roadtrip in 2018. The owner was very gracious and even offered to refill our coffee travel mugs. Very nice experience, a homey, happy-seeming place, and I'd stay here if we have the chance in the future."

"In the heart of Humboldt Redwood State Park, not a lot of eating options nearby. The room was clean and lovely and the bed was comfortable. Linens were good quality and towels were good as well. My kids were especially happy that there was a small bowl of miniature candies in the room"

"Phones were down for a few days while I was trying to make reservations, so I sent in an email. Worked with Amy via email to confirm my stay. She was incredibly nice accommodating and understanding. I let her know that we would be arriving pretty late and that was no problem with her at all. When we got there the young man at the front desk was incredibly nice and knowledgeable everything was super quick, which with three small boys I was very thankful for. So customer service A++ The lodge was cute and welcoming just like the room. It’s it’s obviously not your typical hotel it’s more of like a bed-and-breakfast. The room was spacious and cozy. We had a king size bed plus a twin and a rollaway for the boys. Our bed it was incredibly comfortable it reminded us of back home. The bathroom was big enough, and I love that the shower had an extendable shower head. There is a coffee shop and a small market across the street (my husband thinks that the coffee at the lodge was better than the one across the street :D ). We were able to get our coffee fix the next morning and buy a few food items for the road. All in all it was a great experience and if ever in the area again I would not hesitate to book another stay."

"We were very late checking in. The young host was very courteous and placed an additional roll away bed in our room. The king sized bed was amazing - my wife and I had the best sleep. We also loved the cozy “old style” interior decorating and atmosphere. Breakfast was included even though. The coffee machine was set to go - all we had to do is push the button for a fresh brewed cup. We had an awesome stay and put it on my favourite list - hope to come back again. I wish we could have thanked our host in person but we left an “old fashion, hand written note” instead - hopefully you could decipher my terrible hand writing. Thank you again for a great experience and hospitality."
