South Jetty Humboldt Bay

"Small sand/dirt parking lot, with a pit toilet, lots of puddles when it’s raining! The road out there is nice and paved. The beaches are sandy. It was very windy once you get to the jetty and tower, a lot colder than the parking lot. This is about a mile walk to the end of the jetty and tower. It consists of concrete, railroad ties, rock cement pieces, and sand. It’s very slippery with moss and puddles too. DONT GO OUT FOR HIGHTIDE, do your research and make sure you go out when the tide is low or going out. We were getting splashed and it wasn’t even close to hightide, could be very dangerous in other conditions. Might be harder for small kids, or those unable to navigate uneven surfaces. It’s very uneven and varies a lot! But cool to go out to the ocean and see the waves! Along with the cool cement installations from the army engineering corp!"

"Neat place but didn't have the right fishing equipment as I'm newer to fishing in the ocean. That being said the road was really rough and for that alone I don't plan on going back as it is to rough with a back injury."

"Landscape is amazing beautiful although it is important follow safety instructions, worth go see gorgeous sunset and remaining pathway nearby the sea. The road to reach it is not good, and you have a time limit according to the sunset time."
