Reviews
"I’m very late on writing this review. Absolutely loved coming here. The breakfast was great, the hospitality was good. Don’t get me started on the views and garden full of flowers! The only reason I give 4 stars is bc the bed was so horrible, we did not feel rested after tossing and turning all night for most of our stay. For that reason we would prob not return as is was brought up to return to that area. Hopefully they have upgraded their beds since then."
"Absolutely fantastic stay at the Lost Whale Inn! We came up during a doozy of a storm and it was the perfect cozy retreat. Very friendly and accommodating staff, very cute rooms with great views, and really nice amenities. 24 hour jacuzzi on the nice back deck and tea/hot chocolate available all hours, free beer/wine/liquor too. Food was wonderful. Dinner was included one night of our stay and was a great meal, breakfast was every morning at 9, and we got afternoon charcuterie plates every day customized to our room. Great proximity to the parks for hiking during the breaks in the storm. Really delightful stay, great value, and we will definitely be back!"
"The Lost Whale Inn is our favorite local getaway! We love the location - the views from nearly anywhere on the property are stunning. We dig all the amenities, the welcome snack board, in room champagne, views, bonfire overlooking the ocean, hot tub conveniently shielded from the cold evening breeze, and of course the amazing breakfast! Grab a breakfast cookbook from the gift shop, you won't regret it. Also, the new massage bungalow is incredible! The small structure is perfectly decorated to give off fresh, relaxing vibes. The massage therapists (Amanda & Jessi) are fantastic. Do yourself a favor and book a massage. I absolutely recommend staying here whether you're local or traveling through. Be ready to relax and connect with yourself and/or your travel companion."
"My husband and I absolutely love this place! Just got back from staying there for our third time (husband's birthday). The staff and owners are absolutely amazing, and it's clear they put a lot of love into this inn. We like to go in the off season, November to mid-March, because they have amazing dinners (easily rival the top places in the area) on Thursday and Saturday nights (Temptation for two). The outdoor hot tub overlooks the ocean and was great to unwind in at night. We stayed in the blue whale room (usually stay in the humpback whale room, but lucky for us, we got an upgrade! We actually like both rooms, but the blue whale room is about twice the size of the humpback whale room and has a spectacular ocean view)."
"My wife and I came here for our honeymoon and had the most amazing time. The location is unbeatable, with plenty to do along the ocean or hiking in the redwoods. The hosts while we were there (Shelby and Brie) were knowledgeable about things to do in the area and also kind and friendly. And the breakfasts were amazing. We will definitely be back! Very lgbtq+ friendly too!"
