Reviews
"Extremely disappointed with the $650 dress I purchased in what seemed to be excellent condition. Unfortunately, it broke the very first time I wore it. Despite the evident flaw, the store refused any assistance, citing their policies that absolve them from any responsibility beyond the 15-day return window. Additionally, when attempting to sell an item through them, they restrict your ability to list the price and only provide a small fraction of the sales price. This lack of transparency and minimal returns are disheartening. Buyer and seller beware."
"Just horrible behavior by the sales staff. I came in to return an item bought online, No issue with this, however, I did ask what wallets they had in stock to show me, the staff points to an ipad and I was told to look at their items. No offer to show me, and lets just say the store was emtpy and they should have just shown me the items. I did have appointment to show two purses to consign. sadly, not in good enough condition, but the woman was nice and knew her stuff. The gucci bag was circa Tom Ford and there was an issue with material peeling, which I did not notice on the inside and should have looked. No problem, as I donated the purses the next day. After meeting with her, I walked around. I have no interest in used shoes or clothes, but was looking at some earings and necklaces. Not one person in the store offered to help me. Not one. The store did not have a single customer in it, they were all just on their ipads or cell phones. I was dressed in sweats (and not aviator nation) and looked like I was a week out of the hospital with major surgery because I was). Just for clarifications, if I wanted, I could pay cash for anything I want in the entire store, and this is beside the point and should not matter. I had to ding for my phone, which I left on the counter when returning my wallet. I asked sales people if they saw my phone, and I finally located it with the help of my Apple watch, and it was sitting next to two employees doing nothing, and certainly not helping me. the respknse I got was: "oh, that was you dingiung it". The next thing I heard was: "dog, dog" and they all went running to the door to greet someone who came in with a little dog. The woman was dressed lovely. Mind you, I lived in Brentwood for 15 years on and off. I moved a bit closer to the water recently, so I know the area very well. The behavior and attitude of the staff was disgusting. I am very familiar with the area and can walk across the street, dressed as I was, and have no issue buying shoes at Christian Louboutin. Yes, my sweats did have a coffee stain (Philz, so at least the best coffee around), and btw, I was wearing Prada and Gucci before any of these obnoxious sales people were born. Oh well. I just bought a wallet from Vestaire and consigned bags to Rebag. People, buy your wallets used. I have had the same Prada one for over 20 years, and it finally met its match with water or diet coke spilling in my handbag for around the 40th time. Not worth spending retail when I know my spillage percentage. Maybe this store will close like the Chicago one, and none of their employees should ever work in customer service again, and what they do is supposed to be CUSTOMER service."
"I have sold many high end items with the real real. Unfortunately my last pick up of about 20 items was stolen by the company. They told me they are lost and I need to start a claim. The claim process has been a huge nightmare and I have constantly been handed over to new people to "help" me. I've been told if I don't provide photos of every single item they will not close the claim. Not only do I not even remember everything that was picked up, I definitely do not have a photo of each piece. It has been almost 6 months and I have not been reimbursed or returned MY belongings. I have another friend who this happened to with a very expensive purse. I hope who ever bought our things loves them, but this company is a S C A M !! Do Not Sell with them."
"I have been a client for over 5 years. Always a wonderful experience. The Customer care has been delightful. Greenwich; Brooklyn. And Beverly Hills. Love the RealReal. "
"The energy here is off. I came to return something a few days after I bought from their Newport Beach outpost and they make you feel really weird about it for some reason. It’s a 4k+ dollar item and you don’t get a receipt to acknowledge that they’ve received the item from you/your return? They say it needs to be sent somewhere to be authenticated first? And that will take up to 7 business days thennnn you get an email to confirm your return? Why are their business practices so sus? They treat you like you’re shady for returning something just because it’s high value. If I had found it in the official store I would happily pay full price but it’s a vintage item. Will come back to update this review, hope nothing goes wrong between now and then. Honestly, just don’t buy from them it’s not worth it."
