"Had an utterly amazing birthday / valentines dinner out. among the very very best I've ever eaten, worldwide. here in rochester, no less. Our appetizer was maybe a 7.5 of 10. good, but no blow your socks off good. My filet mignon steak was 10 or 10, with an also good mashed potato side. However the side was not the ideal flavor pairing with the steak. My wife's entree, however was a solid 10 of 10 -- chicken dish in a cream sauce with walnuts, spinach, and I don't know what else. Our deserts, however, was what completely completely blew our socks off. 11 of 10. We had a gluten free brownie and a bread pudding, both with a vanilla bean ice cream and blueberries. I was getting chills down my back. The chef wandered the restaurant and stayed and chatted food with us, he's one of those kind of cooks who makes a point to travel and cook internationally, he talked about recipes he developed and or picked up in france, and japan, and italy, and new york, and so on. He has a real passion for cooking and it really shows. We were served by a really energetic and happy young man who I think from his comments might have been the manager. There was also really good live music with a lead singer with one of those sweet smoky alto voices; so just a really nice experience to go with the food. So yeah, gotta recommend the place. "We have been in a 1/2 a dozen times since they opened & are very happy with the consistency of the dishes. We love the Fig & pig , Beet salad & duck fat fries. Everything has been amazing & it has been a pleasure being greeted by both the Chef & the owner."

"The deviled eggs here might possibly have been the best deviled eggs I have ever had at a restaurant. So good! We also had the wings which they list as a pound on the menu and it seemed like we got less than a pound. They still tasted great though! I also had the grilled cheese but asked them to leave off the tomato soup. We will definitely be back again for food and drinks. The seemed to be lacking in some bar mixers but they also JUST opened. I’m sure once they are open for a while things will only get better!"
