"It was our first time at Casablanca....and WOW!!! We took our son for his birthday because he chose it after seeing the reviews. It was such an amazing dining experience! The owners, Anis and Naima, are wonderful people! Very personable and so kind. Made us feel very special, like VIP! The servers were also excellent! The place has a great atmosphere. Cozy, beautiful, and clean! The food was AMAZING! We went on Friday, so they had a set menu. We had the chiken bastilla, seafood bastilla, Fish Tagine, Grilled shrimp and veggies, Chicken Tagine, and the Honey Lamb. ALL VERY DELICIOUS!!! The salad sampler, bread, and mint tea were so good, too! We can't wait to go back on a weekday to try the other entrees! Thank you, Casablanca for a wonderful meal and time!"
"Friday nights in LA is a nightmare especially if you're worn out and hungry. This wasn't the case for us when we discovered Casablanca. We did our mighty search on Google and called ahead before coming in. We were accomodated to a table right away even if the whole restaurant was packed and busy. A+ for the service! The ambiance of the restaurant is very cozy and traditional. They do not serve alcohol but you are welcome to bring your own drinks. They will even serve it and pour it for you because having cans or bottles of alcohol is not allowed on the table. We started our meal with a teapot of Moroccan Mint Tea which is now my new favorite. My Moroccan boyfriend always raves about it and now I know why. We came as a group of three and we ordered two sets from their tasting menu which was pretty big in size for all of us. After tea, we were served salads and sides. Everything came fresh and flavorful. The beets and carrots are my absolute favorite from all of the sides. They then served us the Seafood Pastilla and the Chicken Pastilla. The seafood was light and tangy, meanwhile the chicken was rich and sweet in taste. Both were very, very good! We ended the night with Chicken Couscous and Fish Tagine. At this point we were all very full that we ended up bringing leftovers home. The whole dining experience was very special and worth remembering. We will make sure to spread the word about this place and hopefully bring our family next time. Thank you to the very kind owners of the restaurant. My boyfriend really felt welcome and at home. Merci."
"Casablanca is a fantastic place to enjoy authentic Moroccan cuisine and culture. The food was great and the server was super nice and attentive. I ordered the fish and the lamb, and I was impressed by the size and tenderness of the lamb dish. The fish was also fresh and flavorful, and it came with a variety of sauces and sides. The highlight of the night was the belly dancer who was gorgeous and talented. She entertained us with her graceful moves and invited us to join her on the dance floor. It was a lot of fun and a memorable experience. This is definitely a place I'll eat in again. Casablanca is an amazing place that you must try if you love Moroccan food and culture."
"Naima is an amazing owner and generous host. All the staff were attentive and kind. Great atmosphere and aesthetic. The food is just like what I’ve had in Morocco. We will be back to try the weekday menu. Weekend menu is great to share with friends family style."
"First time eating Moroccan food and I have to say it is delicious! If you haven’t tried it, there are lots of interesting different flavors. We chose the three course meat option and all the food that came was delicious. One thing to keep in mind is the pastille is a bit sweet, so if you don’t like sweet, you may want to ask to forgo the powdered sugar. We chosen the chicken tagine dish as they mentioned the lamb obtain was sweet as well. Overall, great experience!"
