"Chicken plate, fried chicken side and broccoli was good, but then a green live bug fell out of my fork as I was trying to eat the salad. The chicken plate was remade for us which was nice, but I lost my appetite. The staff seemed unfazed and asked if it flew in. So maybe it's a normal occurrence Paid parking available behind the restaurant. It's 1.00/hr up to 2 hrs which is enough time. Got there at 7:15pm so there were spots to park"
"I love this place! Some of the best mediterranean food around. I love the salmon kebab, which i pretty much always get on a salad. the salad itself is awesome as well, with lots of herbs like dill and mint and lots of little other nice things like feta, cucumber, olives, garbanzos, etc. The sides all hit, sumac fries and cauliflower especially, as well as the pickly things and sauces (though i wish they served those in little dishes instead of plastic single-use ramekins). sleeper hit is the vegan tahini milkshake … if you love sesame like i do you will die a heavenly ice cream death."
"The food was absolutely phenomenal! We started with the brussel sprouts, the oyster mushrooms and the Moroccan chicken. We had to stop ourselves from devouring the starters in order to keep room for our main dishes. Every dish’s flavor was unique to itself and incredibly rich. Will definitely be coming back again soon!"
"4.5 stars - delicious sharable plates yet small portions for price. Identity of the food seems to be a pan-middle Eastern mix of Israeli, Moroccan, Turkish, and etc. dishes. All the dishes were enhanced by sauces and fresh herbs that was paired with the plates. Hummus masabacha was great because it was served with fresh laffa bread. The Jerusalem chopped salad was very simple and lacked distinctive flavor beyond the cucumber and tomato. Albeit small portions, the lamb Kefta kebab and spicy Merguez sausage were delicious and served with fresh dill and cilantro (be aware I believe the sausage has cayenne pepper that added a kick). Vegetable couscous was tasty in a tomato base served with eggplant and red bell peppers. The skillet haloumi was flambé tableside with brandy and was fun to watch (plus fried cheese is always a crowd pleaser). The restaurant automatically adds a 14% service gratuity in the bill. Service was friendly yet at times slow. Parking lot in the back charges $1 an hour at metered spaces (credit cards okay)."
"The brilliant Chef Danny Elmalah takes overs over his family cafe and instills it with refined Japanese technique too the Mediterranean food. It does not get better than this. Casual, friendly service. Paid parking out back. Practical prices; Chef Danny is also the chef at CLEO"
