"Rude employees, never enough checkouts open, constant mistakes on prices. When you bring up the price mistakes, they think you’re trying to rip them off. I actually had a man who was working the self checkout area tell me that I should take a photo of all sale price items to prove the price. Seriously? I should photograph many items in my shopping cart? Bums and panhandling frequently at and around store entrance. The shopping carts are filthy, and have crud in them. This store needs a health department inspection big time. Employees seem to hate their jobs. Store looks old and shopworn, and not very clean. Some of this could change with proper management, but they don’t care. I used to shop there almost daily, because of location. As of today, I’m done with them. They obviously don’t care about my business."
"They never have enough cashiers. Today my shoppers card didn't scan, so I received no discounts. As my credit card went through, they said I had to go to customer service. Customer service was closed for an hour. Terrible store, awfully understaffed. Avoid like the plague. 0/5 stars"
"I'm really trying not to work at this Metro Market location, but the lack of customer service trained personnel makes it difficult to avoid. Today, the bagger in my checkout lane started bagging up my groceries in plastic bags without asking if I wanted paper or plastic. When I asked her to stop and use double paper she said we're out of paper. I said no you're not and she asked where? I said next lane over, I'll go get some for you. She didn't thank me but I thanked her?"
"This was my first and last time shopping at this location. The layout of the store along with the food was great but the customer service was horrible! They had one long line open for checkout with a cashier. The rest were self checkouts. So they decided to finally open another lane . The so called manager (African American lady) with the black curly hair who wasn't very nice to the old lady or me when I tried to defend her.She harmlessly went in front of the other lady who was yelling at everyone because she had to wait in line like the rest of us.The manager held the line for her to go ahead of the little old lady and everyone else while this same lady went off on everyone including the cashier. She was very rude I felt that it was unnecessary and the situation could of been handled better. This shows that no one has respect for their elders anymore including the manager that allowed the rude lady to go ahead of everyone and the old lady. You would think this nice establishment would have someone who is more professional and caring to the customers deal with the people that support this place.I really would of had a better experience if this place had better management when it came to small situations like this. They need to do better!"
"This place has become the worst. The problems of never having carts or baskets for months on end finally got fixed, but still a terrible shopping experience every time. There are no regular checkout anymore and on the “quick checkout” lanes there’s not even a bagger. So you bag your own groceries and make everyone wait behind you because metro won’t spend a dime on actual employment. When there is an employee in site they are 85% of the time completely emotionless and rude. This week now there were no employees at the checkouts as usual but there were also no bags at any of the checkouts. People were walking out with baskets to hold their items because they had nothing to bag with. Overall terrible experience. Would rather go to the pick n save in next door to the hood because they at least have carts, bags, and employees."
