"My boyfriend and I were so excited to find this shop because it was so close to home and we had just recently moved to Milwaukee. Our original impression was that the store owner was friendly and nice and their glass selection was well priced, unique, and good quality. We’d been in the store a couple of times - the store owner would recognize us and we’d talk every time we come in. That’s why we were in absolute disbelief when we came in today and were accused of stealing. The man working wasn’t the usual owner - we came in to pick up a couple of bottles of e-liquid and were about to check out when the man accused my boyfriend of stealing a bottle. We told him we hadn’t taken anything but the man insisted we did. He made us wait while he called the other store owner and threatened to “check the cameras”. We told him to go ahead. He found nothing and then sheepishly asked us if we’d like to purchase the items we’d picked out. We said no and left. I understand running these shops can be scary - it is Milwaukee. But it’s insulting to be accused of theft when we’ve been to the store multiple times and purchased items. My boyfriend was furious and almost went off on the man but I convinced him it wasn’t worth it. We won’t be returning - there are plenty of other smoke shops in Milwaukee that give a better experience even if they’re a further drive."
