Mr. B's - A Bartolotta Steakhouse - Brookfield

"The food was really mediocre for the price. My husband had the ribeye and it was tough for medium rare. I had the filet, ordered medium rare and it was very charred, the ends were medium well. And neither had much flavor. Interestingly the filet i ordered looked NOTHING like some posted in the other reviews. The service was fantastic , but i feel like we're paying for the service not the dinner. Sides were, meh. On the way out i overheard another customer say to his son he didnt feel their steak was worth the price either. And i had to nod in agreement."

"Anniversary night. Requested a table through online booking to be seated in a nice area but upon arrival we were seated behind the napkin/service area without a pleasant view next to a very noisy table. Very pricey and the waitress was kind and helpful but we will not be going back. Jazz music was not to our taste and a bit off putting but to each their own."

"This was my first experience at Mr. B's and I did have high expectations for this meal. The Bartolotta name is well-known for quality food and service. The interior matches the exterior which to me is cozy and inviting while being hosted by a friendly staff. During the visit our waiter greeted us, went over the menu, and checked how our food was. Our butternut squash soup was the star of the meal as it's consistency was very nice and the roasted pepitas added a nice texture. After that there was quite a gap between our soup and entrée. Unfortunately when the entrée came out it was barely warm and had to be refired adding to the wait. The beef short rib was tender, but kind of uninspired and the brussel sprouts were pretty raw. We had a pair of good desserts, but then to close we waited 20 minutes after our cards were given the the waiter because they charged me for a $340 bill that wasn't mine. Oh and I was never offered a refill on my drink during the whole dinner. While It wasn't a horrible experience and it may have been an off night, but it did leave much to be desired."

"Make a stop at the bar upon arrival to get great recommendations from the bartenders with a great conversation. The whole experience is nothing short of fine dining. The staff is top-notch, food of high quality and well prepared. I did have an issue with my combo (Filet and salmon) as my salmon was very overcooked and had a crunch on the end.. I didn't say anything, because everything else was so great. I wish I had the full experience in this dish but what a classy place!"

"Everything about our experience was excellent! We had a drink at the bar first and the bartender was friendly and she did a good pour! Our waitress, Madalyn, was professional, friendly and very attentive. We had the calamari appetizer which was some of the best I’ve ever had. I had the classic surf and turf and my husband had the horseradish crusted aged ribeye. Both were superb. The peach bread pudding dessert was also wonderful. The ambiance was great especially since we were celebrating our 42nd wedding anniversary. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening there!"
