"We were treated to a delicious lunch at the Uptown Grill by great friends who suggested. We ordered: cod, Philly cheese steak sandwich and chicken ranch wrap. Establishment clean, service friendly and most accommodating. Kudos to the chef. Our meals were plated to perfection. An enjoyable lunch impressed with Waukon's hospitality! "My roommates and I went on a little cabin and went to Uptown Grill for lunch and it was delicious! The staff treated us like we were locals and were very kind. It's a cute little place and if I'm ever in the area again, I'd stop by!"

"To be brutally honest as usual, burger and fries cost 12.00 bucks and you get good portion of fries. But the burger patty is trash would it kill a restaurant in this one horse town to put forth some effort, take some pride in their product and serve hand pattied burger. Instead of thin grey meat burger, I mean we literally live where the food is grown. The only reason this is getting two stars is the vegetables were fresh on the burger."

"We sat at the bar and I had the soup and salad combo and a Bloody Mary on a Saturday afternoon. The soup was hot and tasted good. Salad was fresh and crisp. My husband had the Uptown Burger and tater tots. He couldn't finish all of his tots, burger was a fairly ordinary burger. Affordable pricing. Large portions.Friendly efficient staff. The Iowa football game was on the TVs which we were hoping for. I only wish I would've taken a few pics of our food."

"I never give reviews as we understand busy but . Waited a while for food which was no big deal at all . Once we got ordered and brought our food tortellini didn’t have shrimp we ordered . No big deal we’re very forgiving. Supposed to get a salad with it and the waitress said “either no salad or I can get a to go box “ . They had an hour before closing and this response was said in a rude way. We under stand busy but poor customer service is not fun . She could have offered to go get the salad her self since we paid for it she had plenty of time…or offer something else !!!Or anything nice not even a sorry! Table next to us got their salad that came after us they had a different very polite waitress . Food was good otherwise . Lady had straight pony tale and glasses green shirt .we said have a great night first as well. Just rude."
