"I have never posted a negative review about any business. With this encounter I feel I need to warn other potential customers. I have seen how they respond to negative reviews on their Facebook so I have no doubt they will retaliate for my comments. On July 11th we had a service tech from Ridgeland Appliance come look at our leaking washer. We were told the leak was not repairable and needed a new washer. July 12th Jason bought a used washer from them. They offer no discounts or credit toward a purchase of new or used from the service telling you that you need a new appliance. Not really that important but needed to note. July 15th and 20th we left voicemails saying the washer wasnt cleaning our clothes. August 29th I went into the store in person wearing clothes that had just been washed in said washer. Even the clerk noticed how dirty they were and that they smelled musty. I wore them as an example. I explained that we had called and had not had time to come in person until that date due to work hours vs. their store hours. The gal told me she could see that the washer was not working based on my clothes and would check with her boss to see what they could do. While I was there I did buy a brand new washer as I couldn't wait any longer to get clean clothes. Sept. 12th I emailed inquiring as to why they hadn't gotten back to me and received and mail saying was that the warranty had passed but they would be willing to do one of two things. 1. refund half of my purchase money or 2. repair the machine and return it to me. I told them that I would discuss it with my husband and let them know. Sept. 13th Jason brought the machine to the store to get the repair. We had decided we would either have a back up washer for the shop or sell it. Monday this week. Knowing that in person is the best contact, I went to the store to purchase a part for our dishwasher and to see when our washer would be returned. I was told that other that the purchase they couldn't find any records or work orders for the repair of the washer. The gal told me she would check on it and have someone get back to me. On Tuesday I did receive a phone call saying that they were planning to refund half of my purchase amount. I tried to tell her that I didn't want that, I wanted the machine repaired and returned to me. When I asked where the machine was, her first reply was that there was a new kid the day we dropped it off and that he..... then she stopped herself and became less than pleasant. She was rude, condescending and highly un professional. She told me that the machine was unrepairable and so that my only option was getting 1\2 of my money back. So, in my view, here is what happened. They either A. Sold me a non working machine that was in their own words " unrepairable" or B. the new kid put our machine in the pile of appliances to be recycled and it went to the scrap heap . Either way, I will never ever do business with them again and feel the need to warn anyone who is thinking about purchasing from them. Everyone makes mistakes. I was willing to work something out even with the poor communication and time line. Obviously they were not."
