Denny's,

"We almost left upon entering this Denny's, and we regret not doing so. My wife and I dined here as a stop on a roadtrip and were incredibly uncomfortable. No one was at the host podium when we arrived, and we waited rather long to be seated. When we were directed to the seating area, our server yelled at another waitress to see if she wanted to have our table, to which she said no. The waits were incredibly long for more than food, especially waiting for our table to be bussed and our check to arrive. Our waitress did return with a check, but not our check, and we had to wait an additional ten minutes for her to return with the correct bill. She seemed to either not enjoy her job, or to hate us specifically, unclear. We visited on a Sunday morning, and they seemingly had Catholic mass streaming on one TV, which my Jewish wife was seated to face. The restaurant was less than half empty, and yet we were there for approximately an hour for what could have been a half hour visit. We were also incredibly uncomfortable as queer people in this establishment. I would not recommend. The food was also sub-par and underdone. The atmosphere was as if a steakhouse had been converted into a Denny's overnight (very heavy, dark wood decor, not at all diner-y)."

"unkempt, filthy, and repulsive. This place is appalling. I have never visited a Denny's as filthy as this one. I was told by my acquaintance who used to work here that the back of the establishment is filthy. It's not the best service. was met with rudeness, which disappointed me much. My meal was not very tasty. It wasn't cooked; it was chilly."

"I must say I asked my husband before we got seated if he wanted to stay because it was so cold inside. We shop and eat with our eyes, this is a known fact so you would think a restaurant would not want torn, raggy seating areas along with a floor that was so worn I didn't realize it was carpeting. Too bad they don't take the time to have their atmosphere match the employee standard. The food was good, and so was the service, but we will not be returning"

"Our server was less than thrilled with her day. For a moment, I thought we were at Ed Debevic's... eye rolls and sarcasm abounded. Apparently, too many people were being seated, which led to a wait on food. The place was nowhere near full, or even half full... but perhaps the number of employees was insufficient. Three in the kitchen, as far as I could tell. Don't plan on getting anything other than we'll done food - husband ordered medium steak with lightly scrambled eggs, both were well done. I enjoyed my omelet. Seasonal fruit were grapes, bananas, and a few pieces of cantaloupe. I was offered creamer with my coffee, but no sugar. There was one grape jelly and one strawberry jam on our table, so we took some from another table. The bathrooms appeared clean-ish. The garbage was overflowing, and the floor was sticky. It smelled of urine and cinnamon. The restaurant itself is in need of some repair, seemed old, and the ceiling had leaks. We spent $55 including tip for 2 people, the food was better than drive-thru, so I guess it was okay, but we wouldn't come back."

"Restaurant was very spacious and staff were extremely kind and welcoming. Waiter was very attentive and informative. Gave us all of the options and combinations we could have with our meals. Food came out fresh and hot in a timely manner. The very definition of a Wisconsin Denny's."
