"The waitress was lovely, she recommended her favorite salsas and drinks, and provided insight to the favorites on the menu. Food was delicious and very flavorful. We both got the griddle fried tacos - pork and brisket. We also got the rice and bean side too share which was different but delicious. Service was great, atmosphere was pretty chill, food was great!"

"We have been to Lolo before (I need to leave a review but it was before I started doing these). This was the first for us to try the Cantina version. The restaurants are part of the same ownership in case you are wondering. This is the high end Mexican you've been looking for. I really like Pajarito in St Paul but the food here is better and bar has so many options. I need to expand my Mezcal knowledge and tastebuds apparently because this is the place for it. Incredible selection. Our server was wonderful and the restaurant itself is beautiful. And that bar is insane! We had the bacon plantain appetizer which was delicious and presented well. My wife had the duck mole entrée which was tasty but a bit heavy and a lot of food for one person. It would be better shared with 4 or even 8 people with chips. We had their salsa sampler by the way and enjoyed it immensely. I had the seabass entrée which was very good and a different option from the standard fare. It had so many flavors from the olives and capers yet was not so heavy. I can't wait to eat here again."

"Tasty Mexican food but several improvements are needed. We were looking forward to Lolito opening because we are a fan of Lolo’s and their Korean tacos and chicken wings. For now, we will return to Lolo’s but not Lolito. Chips and salsa are not complementary and you are served a very small portion of salsa. We asked for another salsa, thinking that they would replenish the salsa given the disproportionate amount of chips to salsa ratio. But no, you will be charged for another order of chips and salsa (even if you don't ask for chips). We were greeted right away by the bartender and were seated by them. But it took some time before a server came and serviced us or acknowledged us. The food in general was good but I do not recommend you order your dish “Mexican dinner style”. You will receive a small portion of Spanish rice and black beans. The rice was dry and clumpy and flavorless, same with the beans. We were happy to see cochinita pibil on the menu and it was spicy and delicious. It’s not often you see it in MN. The birria smoked brisket was delicious as well. The mix of acidity and fiber may make some people not feel well after consuming. We haven’t had this type of reaction before so I’m not exactly sure what happened. A hospitality fee of 4% is added to each bill."

"Food was good, and the service is friendly. Only reason I rate a 4 is, the wait on food was almost 30 minutes after ordering when it was not very busy. This is a higher priced restaurant compared to the neighbors. Most meals will range from $ 17 - $20ish."

"Chips and salsa are not on the house. Drink prices are okay, a little over priced. Food was good, but personally the mahi mahi tacos lacked flavor, the veggies on top over powered the fish. I heard other comments from the table... Overall the food was a hit or miss. I am giving 3.5 stars as it could have been off night. 1 person in our party of 9, was celebrating a birthday and Lolitos had NOTHING to offer, no "special" birthday surprise (cup cake, pie, cookie, etc) but you can buy 'em a shot? I gave Lolito's 4 stars overall, my clothes smelled like the kitchen, bathrooms are upstairs and they were disgusting and broken!"
