"Bartender was less than pleasant. We sat ourselves in the dining area, where a posted sign said to seat ourselves. After waiting several minutes, with no service, I proceeded to go into the bar area, (separated by a half wall), and asked the bartender what the deal was. He offered no apology. Just told me, rudely, that the area we were in was closed, even though the sign on the post clearly stated something different. So after clarifying with him that the "dining area" stated that we could sit there, and also confirming that food WAS BEING SERVED in the bar area, I just told my wife it was time to leave. No apology, no smile. Disgusting service. My parents owned a bar for twenty two years, and I NEVER treated a customer like this man treated me. On our way out, I moved the pedestal, two sided sign, to show that the dining area was closed. One move of ONE SIGN, could've avoided loosing two, (or more, who knows), customers. We will never go back."
"Wonderful local restaurant/bar for classic American fare at a good value. Great variety on the menu and breakfast Friday thru Sunday along with drink specials. The restaurant area is separate from the bar area with booths available. Live music most Fridays and Saturdays."
"We came here because of the glowing responses for it's gluten free options. They stated their fryers were not segregated for gluten free so none of their deep fried objects were celiac safe nor were their wings. We ordered the Piggy Mac and pizza fries. The piggy mac was amazing but they were out of coleslaw and and didn't say that until our food came out. They said they'd bring something to replace it, and never did. They also didn't not bring out the marinara for the pizza fries or our sodas until we had to go and ask about them after we sat and finished the rest of our meal. We still never got that coleslaw replacement. We also spent a lot of time waiting to have our orders taken and to get our bill. I doubt we will drive 30 minutes to come here again. The service. I was also a bit worried when the person next to us spent 20 minutes trying to get the servers attention because their gluten free burger had a regular bun. I wish the service was better, then I'd give their food another go. But to drive 30 minutes there and home, and spend almost 2 hours sitting there for this kind of service. Probably not."
"Sometime in the last few months they changed their menu. We went soon after the change and I ordered the salmon without rice and explained that I don't eat rice, pasta or potatoes. When the server brought it out the only thing that matched the menu was that there was salmon on the plate, no noticable sauce, no capers, and it was on noodles. The server was great, took it back and fixed it, except still no capers. I was ok with it and we decided to give them another try in a month or so to give them time to adjust to the new menu. We went back tonight. A young lady came by with menus and took our drink order. We got our drinks and after about 15 minutes a young man came back and took our order. My husband and I were very clear, we ordered the ribeye and wanted it rare to medium rare. The server said they had a new cook so we said we'd rather it was undercooked than over cooked. He said ok and left. He stopped at the neighboring table and also took their order. 20 minutes later they got their food. We received our salads. 20 minutes later they brought out our food. My steak was black! I asked the server that brought it to wait a minute and cut into the steak and it was well done. She apologized and said she'd bring a new one. My husband's was closer to medium but was edible. We finished eating the rest of the dinner and still no new steak. 15 more minutes passed and we were getting ready to leave and looking for a server so we could pay and go. They were all in the kitchen, including the bartender. The young lady came out with the new steak and it was overcooked. I was noticably frustrated and she asked us if our experience was really that bad. We said "yes!" and explained that Shuggys used to be our "go to" restaurant for great steaks but since the menu change it has gone downhill. She apologized. We told her that someone needed to know and that we hoped she would talk to the owner or manager. She did comp our meal and said she would pass on the information. We know Shuggys and Barnyard are owned by the same person. We haven't gone to Barnyard for years because we've had such bad food there and now Shuggys had gone the same way."
"This was our first time here. A very nice bar and grill. The staff was fantastic. The menu is very extensive, with many delicious things to choose from. The food was fantastic and the margarita was so yummy. Clean bar with great ambiance. Would love to go back when they have live music. So glad we decided to stop in. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend everyone stops in for a cocktail and some food."
