"Great experience! Messaged him to see if he could figure out what was grinding on my front end and he threw in an oil change to save me some money. Let me know it was my breaks that needed to be replaced. So I replaced the breaks and everything is sounding great now! Highly recommend Travis and his wife!"
"Highly recommend! Travis is a lifesaver! Got a crazy quote for the wrong diagnosis by a dealership and took my car to Travis who I got a second opinion from. Saved me SO much money and my car is running amazing now! He’s smart and he knows what he is doing!"
"So, if you'd asked me a month ago if you should go to this shop I would have said absolutely! So when I had a check engine light suddenly pop on, I brought it straight to his attention. After having to remind him about at least checking the code for me, his wife texted to let me know it was the camshaft sensor that needed replaced. He supposedly fixed it. Cool. I didn't even make the stop sign before the light came back on. While I was perturbed I wasn't really upset, these things happen. So I contacted him and he said bring it right over! Cool. He hooks it up to the computer and says oh, it's your camshaft sensor now. I said no, it was the camshaft sensor before. He kinda argued but said let's go ask my wife. He had changed the crankshaft sensor which cost way more. She timidly holds up her phone showing the original text said camshaft sensor. Ok, cool, so how do we want to this this as far as payment?, I ask. He assured me that he would refund in full the original payment which I'd already made, then charge for the correct part. Ok, cool. He calls the next day to say it's all fixed and he even took it on a longer drive to insure that the check engine light didn't come back on. It didn't. Cool. Then he tells me he must not have had the hood latched correctly because while driving down a major highway the hood popped open causing some structural damage to the hood. I'm like, ah, ok? He assured me it was his fault and he already spoke to his friend at an auto body shop to get it fixed. He said it was his fault and therefore did not want my insurance info since he was completely at fault and also, he would deal with the autobody shop and let me know when it was ready. Fast forward 8 days and I get a message that the reason the hood popped open was due to my lack of maintenance by not oiling the latches. I've never once heard of such a thing nor have I ever had a single issue opening and closing the hood (neither did he obviously since he was convinced that it was his mistake during the phone call and when he'dfixed the wrong sensor days prior, never mentioned an issue) and that he wanted me to take responsibility for damages to the hood. When I refused responsibility since HE'S A MECHANIC AND DROVE WITHOUT INSURING THAT THE HOOD WAS PROPERLY LATCHED, I didn't consider it my fault. He then told me I could pick up my car with the check engine light on. When I got the car home the plastic cover on the engine was completely missing, but you know, he doesn't have it. So he didn't even fix the issue after HIS *multiple* screw ups. Save yourself the hassle, contact Eric's repair. TJ's is only going to make your situation exponentially worse."
"Travis was very professional and respectful. He pointed and showed me anything that was wrong. He also answered any questions I had for him. Also he preformed work in a timely manner. Definitely will be bringing all my automotive repair to Travis at TJ's Automotive repair"
"I was the first customer. Got my truck fixed. You can do cash, credit, or check. Gave him my number and he kept me updated about what was going on throughout the whole process. You can specify whether you want messages or voicemails and I chose messages. He texted me an image of all the stuff he did. Fixed all the problems I specified and I drove it out and it was a nice and smooth ride. Really good service and personable. At no point did I find myself wonder what was going on with it or whether or not it was going to be fixed right and as soon as I got it back I knew it was good to go. Even though it's a new business the work is totally professional and he's clearly been in this line of work long enough to know exactly what he's doing."
