Reviews
"Super friendly staff, helpful but not pushy. A lovely showroom and great prices!"
"Boutique store with a great selection of furniture to fit just about every type of interior decor. Nice staff assists with questions, makes suggestions, and is knowledgeable of estimated delivery expectations. I spent a fair amount of time visiting stores of other competitors in the area trying to find suitable furniture but always ended up returning to this store. They are the solution!"
"Ordered a dining table and chairs and a coffee table. Got the dining room table after 3 months (almost forgot I ordered it!) and an obviously busted coffee table. Happy with the dining room table and chairs, but unhappy with the time it took them to deliver it. Still waiting on the replacement coffee table and they don't even bother calling with an ETA. It will be 4 months since I paid for this furniture soon, but I don't think they care at all. I always have to initiate the call to get any information. They never proactively reach out to me. The levels of incompetence I'm seeing here are pretty staggering. *** EDIT 6/18/20 *** Editing my review since the owner replied. I was upset at the time of the original review and so gave one star, but its clear from his response that many things were beyond his control. Still docking one star because nobody from Couch Potato reached out to me to explain that. I had to initiate the call. If there are significant delays expected, some kind of outreach is reasonably expected from the business owner to the customer to explain the delay and revise an estimate on delivery. Please give ETAs when you know there will be a delay. A COVID related delay is understandable, but what is not understandable is not proactively telling your customers about the delay or giving them a revised ETA. Still, I'll give you credit for responding to my complaint and upgrade my rating accordingly. I hope your business does well, and I'm sure it will if you give more thought to your customer's concerns when excessive delays arise."
"I would not recommend due to very poor customer service and non-responsiveness to warranty issues. Had to bug sales rep and call many times to get a response. It looks us over 6 months to replace a broken couch. And that was just to get them to check out the couch and agree to replace it! It may have been 2-3 months before we got the replacement. Now the replacement is stuck in a reclined position after a couple months!! They are not responding.... BTW still trying to get them to replace the broke USB connectors :( We will be having to escalate this issue! So much time wasted on a company that obviously does not want our communities trust."
"We needed a new couch. We liked the Ashley Metcalf power recliner sofa we found in the Morro Bay store. We compared couch potato price to other local stores and internet stores and found it a bit higher. We thought about it for a week or two and then went back to the store and asked if they would price match the the price in the other local store. We gave them a print out showing the other stores price. Bill Smith, the store manager, was able to match the price saving us about $500. We bought and paid for the couch and they said delivery would be approximately 2 to 4 weeks. (Couch potato offers free delivery and setup). We were surprised when Couch Potato called after a week and a half saying it was in. The delivery men brought the couch in and put it in position and assembled the backs to the couch base. They plugged it in and It works perfectly. One thing... Be sure you ask for the assembly and troubleshooting paperwork.... Since they did not offer to give the paperwork to us. Since the couch is in the middle of the room we did not want cords leading to the couch. We bought the Lismoss mc-160 battery pack on Amazon. Now we have no cords.... We just need to charge the battery every couple weeks. I will need to buy a second battery or a Y cable since each recliner end is powered separately with its own power supply."
