"There doing biz with ASAP next door Then to there seeking pic frames. Better deal then other thrift stores. Staff are great. Met an artist who told me about a local art show on Los Osos this Sunday.(somewhere to the left of Ralph's market) the store is divided into 2 rooms and one has to walk outside to next door to pay for purchases. It is a thrift store so be careful.... I almost paid for my own reading glasses and art prints from ASAP!! Anyway -I will return to pick up some of the larger and older ,frames - use them for my own pieces and just to spruce up or do ovet/enhance."
"I was impressed with their selection of kitchen and cooking items and the very fair prices. Not just junk like in some thrift shop but good brands, newer and functional. (Cuisinart breadmaker, Oster food processor, for example)The owner was super friendly too."
"I've come in a few times now and the staff is always friendly. They have a broad selection of goods, from custom candles to your normal clothing. I was surprised to see as many higher quality goods as I did. I came in to buy an inexpensive pair of jeans for yard work and came away with nice designer jeans for $1, yes they are used for yardwork still. I've been in a couple times with my wife as well and they have almost everything we have been looking for. Great shop to visit for just about anything you need."
"Ehhh, so-so. The price of items displayed for sale is sketchy, at best. This means that the price scribbled onto a bit of masking tape is NOT necessarily what the proprietor will charge you for that item. The explanation that I was given, when I bought a pot with a lid, is that Los Osons will sometimes peel one price off of a different item, in an attempt to buy it for less. That, and what was offered on my sole visit there, is why I gave it just three stars However, the worst part is something they have no control over. And that is, the State of California demands ANOTHER sales tax on used items. This means that the full sales tax on the sale price of the item has already been paid! And now the state government demands more for resale? That is pitiful, greedy, and spot-on what this state's government is all about. And that is completely outside the control of the business owners. This store does fill a niche, but I was uncomfortable with how that niche was filled. BTW, I bought two pots with lids here nonetheless, and I use both of them."
"My wife and I have been traveling around the U.S. for a number of years and our entertainment is to visit Thrift Stores across the U.S. We found a number of thrift shops that have a wife variety of just plain old stuff, BUT the past year or so, we found one thrift shop in Los Osos called Nifty Thrifty Thrift Shop and this ABOVE ALL is a very comfortable experience, very carefully arranged to make it extremely attractive. Thank you Preeya for making our visit a pleasant one. If you're looking for it, you'll find it in her shop."
