"A fun place to visit and enjoy the lake."
"It's close for us and easy for a quick day trip. Not as many rocks in the water as most places in berryessa - gentler on the feet. I grew up going to berryessa at an old resort Rancho Monticello - for me getting in the water and being in the environment is a great healing."
"Fun for family and pets! Great swimming and amazing spots to chill and enjoy this beautiful lake."
"Oak Shores was really a really great spot for us to take the kids to play in the water. They’re both 4, so we were looking for a place where they could splash around. We stayed at Pleasure Cove which unfortunately did not have beach access so we drove over to Oak Shores about 20 minutes away. The kids loved it! We saw a bald eagle and a big garter snake. In the north area, it was much slower, fewer people on Memorial Day weekend, and we weren’t required to pay the $5 parking fee because the pay station was no longer there. The rangers were helpful and they had free life vests out to borrow. It was clean as well. The restrooms in the north were closed but all the port a potties were very clean."
"Awesome picnic, swimming, and day use area. Had a tailgate picnic with a good view of the lake. Super quiet, clean, and peaceful here. There a free parking areas and a fee area that is $5.00 which is closer to the swimming area."
