"There is no way to properly express to anyone reading this what Miss Leigh and her daycare means to our family. We count Miss Leigh as an integral part of our village and a big reason our children continue to grow into the amazing little humans they are. My wife and I frequently have had the talk "could you imagine if we chose that other place or never found Miss Leigh?" I honestly cant imagine how different things would be. We truly believe we found the perfect daycare and simply the best possible start for our children's lives under the care of Miss Leigh and her crew."

"Miss Leigh and "Uncle D" are an amazing group! After several years of sending our kids to their daycare, I consider them extended family. They've been amazing to our family and provide a "peace of mind" that's invaluable and so hard to find. "Where do I even start? I moved to carlsbad with a 1 1/2 yr old and pregnant with number two looking for someone who could watch my older son and eventually my daughter. I met with a few people and the moment I met Leigh I was sold! She is so clearly designed to care for children and it is so obvious that she loves them and they love her! I joke with friends that she’s a Disney princess come to life! I have never felt so comfortable leaving my children with someone. She loves the kids like her own and she is so great helping us work through new stages with our kids. I was so nervous potty training my oldest but she brought up a great point that we should get it done before the baby arrives and helped enormously making it happen! And then as if taking care of my kid during the day wasn’t enough when I was home with my new baby she brought her family to Christmas Carol and bring us dinner. I feel SO lucky to have found Leigh! When we’ve discussed moving she is legitimately a large reason not to leave the Carlsbad area! Above all else don’t we all want someone to love our kids and be good to them? She is that and more! Could not recommend her more highly!"

"I’m not sure where to begin with expressing the sincere love we have for Leigh, David and this daycare as a whole. My two daughters have been with miss Leigh since my first was 8months old. Beyond our childcare, Leigh and David (and their own children) are an extension of our family..there is no other way to put it. When I say my kids are better for having been in their care I mean every word. My oldest comes home every single day with a story of a new song, play, or some imaginative magic ms Leigh has cooked up to fill their worlds with wonder. I feel the same sense of security with my kids at Magic Carpet as I do leaving them with my parents or sister. Unequivocally. There isn’t a day working full time and away from my girls isn’t hard, but knowing they are in the hands of Leigh and David make it so very bearable. Thank you for loving my girls!"

"Updating my original review: I wrote my original review below when my daughter was about 18 months old. She’s 4.5 now and still at Magic Carpet and I’m struggling so hard that the time is approaching where she will need to fly the nest to Kindergarten. What I said below rings true and then some. Leigh and David have been such instrumental figures in my daughter’s life and her education. She will leave Magic Carpet with huge shoes for any teacher to fill. An impossible task I’m sure and I wish she could stay forever. She’s fully ready for school thanks to Leigh. I’m just not ready for her to leave. The good part is, though, we have a 20 month old son who has also been so loved by Leigh and David at Magic Carpet for the last 14 months so we get to see them every day for a little while longer. He’s so happy there. I’m so thankful to this family, they are our extended family at this point and we owe so much to them for enriching our kids (and our) lives!!! ————— Aw we can’t say enough good things about Miss Leigh and Magic Carpet Daycare. Our daughter has been going there since January and we were so hesitant about starting daycare for her during a time of some pretty intense separation anxiety and never having been to a daycare before. Within a week she had totally settled in and now we struggle to get her to leave. It’s been the most wonderful next stage in her development and she lights up when we talk about daycare. She’s grown so much in her personality since attending and it’s been so wonderful to see. Miss Leigh is fabulous, we couldn’t have been more fortunate to find her. She loves our daughter so clearly and nurtures her growth so completely. I trust her implicitly and she’s amazing with all of the kids of all different ages. She had this thing nailed and I take my hat off to her for her ability to hold down routine and keep all the kids happy and entertained. Plus her family is incredible, her own kids interact with the daycare kids and parents like they are a part of the family and that’s exactly how it feels. Thanks again, Leigh and family.
