Community Action Commission

Community Action Commission, located at 228 North I Street in Lompoc, California, has been dedicated to serving the Santa Barbara County community for over 55 years. Offering Head Start, Early Head Start, and State Preschool programs for young children, as well as a variety of services aimed at improving economic security and promoting independence for individuals and families.

The institution's Learning Academy partners with the community to provide education, tools, and supportive services for staff, volunteers, clients, board members, and partners. CommUnify, a nonprofit organization, collaborates with the community to find innovative solutions to assist residents in living healthy, resilient, and financially secure lives.

Services include home energy assistance, high-quality early care and education, financial literacy programs, youth health and prevention initiatives, weatherization for energy-efficient homes, and the Family Self-Sufficiency Program for low-income individuals striving for self-sufficiency.
