Rural Communities Child Care, located at 156 South Humboldt Street in Willits, California, is dedicated to serving children, families, and child care providers by providing education, resources, and promoting quality child care services. Established in 1975, the program is funded through contracts with the California Department of Education, Child Development Division, with a budget of approximately 7 million dollars in 2018. RCCC has brought over 245 million dollars to the community since its inception.

The institution offers advocacy for children, parents, and child care providers, as well as financial assistance to eligible families through subsidies. Free VITA Tax Services for eligible households will be available starting in February 2024. Additionally, the program participates in CACFP Week to raise awareness of combating hunger and providing healthy foods to children and adults in child care centers and afterschool programs.

As of October 2023, there is Free Water Testing available for all new applicants through the Office of Water Programs to help licensed child care providers meet lead testing requirements. Child care providers and staff are also required to complete Mandated Reporter Training every two years, with renewal available on the CA Mandated Reporter website.
