"The setup here is that you meet all the doctors over the course of your pregnancy, and then deliver with whoever happens to be on call. My husband and I never met a provider here that we didn’t like! When it came time to deliver our baby, we felt confident and secure. We especially like Dr. Kummerling, Dr. Vu, and Dr. Alston (we saw them most frequently) and Dr. Jacobs (who saw our daughter for her first visit!) Everyone is patient and extremely knowledgeable, and never talks down to their patients. Front desk staff and lab tech Megan are also super friendly and helpful, and I appreciated the online patient portal so I could shower doctors with questions in between appointments!"
"I've had really bad experiences here. It's been very scary to be in a room with a Doctor who starts saying false things about you, writing lies in your chart and not acknowledging what a great mother you are. I do not like this place at all and during covid, they got even worse, only caring about my mask wearing and not completing important tests like genetic screening or other things. Not allowing me to request tests that I would like, pushing for tests I dont need. I'm very uncomfortable being a patient here and feel extremely bullied."
"All the providers and staff were wonderful for my prenatal care and delivery of my daughter. I highly recommend this place for excellent, compassionate care."
"Dr. Cummerling made my first experience with an OBGYN a nightmare. She started the appointment by accusing me of lying about my medical history with my GI and when I started to defend myself she then tried to accuse me of being manic and using drugs. I’ve never done drugs I literally can’t even drink because of my illness. I’ve been chronically ill since I turned 17, I’m going to be 24 soon. She was extremely forceful in her opinions on how I should treat MY pregnancy and really just affirmed all the reservations I have with giving birth at a hospital and dealing with an OBGYN. Maybe not all of the baby doctors there are like this but after that experience I don’t want to test my luck. Avoid the practice if you can, and if you can’t try and get a different DR. Cummerling is known for being like this, once I reached out to some of the mothers in our community i heard many similar experiences."
