"Beautiful surroundings, picnic areas, very nice facility with an interesting history. Bathrooms (with plumbing) easily accessible. Fire damage nearby, but recovering. No dogs on trails. Stop by and learn about this generous donation to the California park system."
"A small history center that has exhibits about the Big Basin Park. Toni, the volunteer person we met there, was very kind to guide us. Lots of flowers seen in the space outside the center."
"Cute little center with information regarding history of Big Basin Redwoods State Park. We tried the Marsh trail from here which is a short, 20 minute hike. The other trails are still not open but will hopefully open soon"
"My son and I went here for 'Salamander Saturday' and it was really awesome. The staff was nice, the parking free and we saw some salamanders both in and out of the water. Even though it did rain that day we were able to explore during a break in the weather and had a great time at the beach across the highway."
