"I wouldn't go there just to see the log house. But if you are driving in the area, it is a cool 5-minute break. The coffee shop is permanently closed, and you can get the passcode from the dispensery."

"We visited the One Log House on a weekday in June 2023. We wanted to have lunch first. But the gift shop employee told us they were out of deli meat for sandwiches because they had been busy. So no lunch for us. But if you were able to order a sandwich, you could sit at a table out front and eat it. But they must first acquire deli meat before customers can actually order a sandwich. For now, the customers must go elsewhere for lunch. We looked around the gift shop quickly while the guy in the corner was trying to get us to go into the pot store. I find it interesting that I didn't realize gift shop and dispensary really meant gift shop with pot store. For some reason it goes over my head when you put them together. My bad. We paid admission to the the One Log House which was $2. So it wasn't overly expensive. They have a code printed on your receipt which opens the door to the little log house. We spent all of 5 minutes checking out the house. Yes it was kind of interesting. It did take some craftsmanship to build this little abode. But it was obvious that this wasn't for real and no one has ever lived in the log house. Not that it wasn't expected for the roadside attraction. But it still was kind of fun. They have restrooms in the gift shop as well. But they make it clear that they are only for customers. They have a sign telling you that. Besides you also need a code to access the restrooms. The One Log House also is right next door to the Grandfather Tree Gift Shop. That is free to enter. So you can ask back and forth between them and basically get two roadside attractions in one stop. All in all, it's not a bad place to stop. It's just not all that great either. But for $2, it's worth a stop just for something to do."

"You get the code for the log house inside the gift shop. I went to check it out. Very cool tiny house inside a hollowed out Redwood log. Very interesting to see in person. This is next to the Grandfather Tree. So, it's a 2 for 1 scenic stop."

"Kind of disappointing. The Cafe and gift shop were closed the day we visited. The dispensary was open, but the clientele looked a little sus, and since we had our toddler with us, we decided against entering and purchasing tickets to see inside the one log house. There is a large picnic area behind the cafe and a small rock garden with sculptures/carvings out front that said toddler enjoyed. It is pretty amazing just how large some of these trees become. This one log house is a cool little stop, if for no other reason than to tout the benefits of a high fiber diet."
