"Nice breakfast but get there early; weekdays 6:30 to 9:00 am. We got there at 8:30 am and food was lukewarm and many items were almost gone. Rooms are nicely appointed but worn and furniture needs refinishing. The hotel is uniquely located right on the UC campus. The location is ideal whether you are visiting the UC campus, the retirement community or another area around Davis, CA. You can walk out a back door and be in the midst of the Environmental Horticultural area of the campus. There are interesting walking trails through a native plant botanical garden including a creek and Stafford Lake. Contrary to some reviews, the hotel is NOT a dump. Though the furniture in the rooms needs an upgrade we found the rooms clean and comfortable. The location is convenient."
