"This is the best location, breakfast area is overlooking the beautiful ocean. You can just run on the promenade by the hotel. Walking distance from a lot of lovely restaurants. Awesome breakfast spread and very clean with friendly customer service."

"It's right across the street from one of the most beautiful beaches in San Diego, close to Carlsbad Village Dr, all the restaurants, shops and bars. Great location! The hotel, which is a mix of time shares and hotel rooms is very dated. That said, you're getting location over luxury."

"The proximity to a wonderful state beach and to good restaurants with decent shopping. Close enough to visit San Diego with its many attractions. We visited Lajolla cove with its amazing sea life. (Go on low tide). The Safari park is 35 minutes away. Lego land is 15 minutes away. Carlsbad had many reasons to visit. The hotel itself is clean, but a bit dated. We found it a very central and enjoyable experience. The hotel did charge an up-fee to park even though we had an extended stay and are "Ellite Members" This is the only Best Western that I have found that charges extra to park. The fee is not easily understood at booking."

"No frills, not modern, but all in all a very nice place to stay. I found the bed comfortable. Bathrooms tend tend be small. Staff are attentive and friendly. Parking is simple. Breakfast is very good. And great location or Carlsbad and great views."

"Great stop for a trip down the coast. The front desk was very welcoming and our room was perfect. Fireplace king bed was a huge and clean room. The property includes a fire pit and pool, and a great deck to watch the water. Even the breakfast room (eggs, sausage, breads, oatmeal) has a great view."
