"Benihana Carlsbad has been our goto for birthday celebrations for years! We have had some hits and misses in the past but few things have changed and all for the better! The manager immediately came over and took what used to be the “post meal” picture and checked in with us which made us feel welcomed. Our server was awesome and kept our drinks filled which had been a concern in the past…. And the BEST part was having Aries as our chef. Not only did he have some of his own signature moves, but he cooked our meals to perfection. He told us a bit about himself in an endearing manner- and his knife and spatula display is unrivaled. Beyond top notch! Wonderful experience!!"

"A Mother Son date, The food was delicious. It does take a while from start to finish. But we made friends with everyone at the table. And our chef Jorge was wonderful. I had the hibachi steak cooked perfectly. And my son had the spicy shrimp."

"I recently dined at Benihana in Carlsbad and overall, it was a fantastic experience. The food was absolutely amazing - delicious, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. I particularly enjoyed the Emperor’s Feast and the edamame dishes, which were both fresh and savory. However, the only downside of my visit was the long wait time. My party and I waited for an hour and a half before we finally got to eat, which was not ideal. While I understand that good food takes time, it was frustrating to have to wait for so long, especially since we had made a reservation in advance. Despite the wait, the food at Benihana was definitely worth it. The chefs were skilled and entertaining, and the ambiance was lively and fun. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great Japanese cuisine, but be prepared for a potentially long wait time."
