Fairway Market

"I have been shopping here for about 5 years now. I buy essential foods down the hill and replace things like coffee half and half yogurt and some frozen items here in Idyllwild. I did recently purchase a ribeye steak on sale. The 4 star rating is due to the fact that prices are double compared to Winco or Costco or even stater brothers stores. Yes I know everything is more expensive on the mountain but not double or even triple the price. Service is good some employees could learn people skills and be more helpful cheerful. The store is old but clean and it is more convenient than driving to Hemet or Palm Springs to buy food. I still stock up when I am down the hill and I will shop at fairway for replacements as needed. Just have to bite the bullet and spend more for the convenience. Saves time and gas to shop locally"

"“Mama June” A cashier calls everyone especially men. “Honey” When I get in line she says nothing and thinks of something snarky. This store is ok. Maybe a 5 on a scale of 1 to 10. Meat selection not good. There is no where else to shop really. Except down the hill which I would advise doing. Much cheaper even in this economy"

"Good place to get your weekend grocery items, or passing through and feeling like you need a few supplies. Decent fresh food items, a smaller selection of most items, and a bit more expensive all the way around, but, thank goodness the store is there, open still, and has a bit of a selection of a variety of items. Tofu, gluten free, alcoholic, ice cream, salads, canned food, and general snack items available. Great views."
