"If you like beef and shabu shabu, this is the place for you. They serve some really good cuts of beef and plenty of it. You can choose which set you would like, and it's pretty much unlimited for 90 minutes. There are a few broth options you can choose - we opted for the House broth and Sukiyaki one. The service here is very attentive and quick. You will definitely have enough to eat. The quality of the beef is excellent. They also have a sauce area where you can make your own sauces and get some rice with minced wagyu. Once done, they also have a small ice cream station. Overall, I over ate and needed a break before driving, but I was happy about it."
"I had a wonderful experience at Mikiya. The restaurant is clean, and modern, with friendly and attentive staff. The menu offers a variety of shabu-shabu sets, but I decided to splurge on the Diamond Wagyu Set, which includes premium wagyu beef, assorted vegetables, noodles, rice, and dessert, and the seafood platter. It was worth every penny! The wagyu beef was melt-in-your-mouth tender, juicy, and flavorful. It came with three different dipping sauces: ponzu, sesame, and spicy miso. Each sauce enhanced the taste of the beef in a different way. The vegetables were fresh and crisp, and the noodles were soft and chewy. The dessert was a scoop of green tea ice cream. It was a nice balance of sweetness and bitterness, and a perfect complement to the savory shabu-shabu. To wash it all down, I ordered a bottle of sake from their extensive selection. The sake was smooth, dry, and aromatic, and paired well with the food. I highly recommend Mikiya Wagyu Shabu House to anyone who loves shabu-shabu or wants to try something new and delicious. The Diamond Wagyu Set is a bit pricey, but it's worth it for a special occasion or a treat. The portion size is generous and the quality is superb. I can't wait to go back and try their other sets and dishes."
"Everything was so amazing! The bone marrow and wagyu nigiri were my favorite sides. All the beef cuts were so tender and we really enjoyed the spicy miso broth the best. Loved the ice cream (especially matcha and vanilla) for dessert after a heavily satisfying meal. Service was also super fast and attentive! Can't wait to be back!"
"New location in Cerritos. The meat quality remained excellent at its standard. I like how they have a snack station here where you can get your own dipping sauce and Wagyu rice instead of ordering it comparing to the first location. Much more convenient. For first timers I recommend trying the gold set where you can enjoy both Japanese and Australian Wagyu. The seafood and vegetable platers are really fresh and the portion is big enough. Services are great as always. Servers will check in with you immediately once the dish is finished. Refills are never delayed. Meat will be served as soon as you ordered them. Even it’s AYCE style with 90minute seating time they never purposely delay the order. And they serve the correct number of orders doesn’t matter you order 10+plates at once. Membership is $28/up to 3 guests/year which you can use at both locations. That saves you up to $30 each time."
"I am so happy that a new shabu restaurant opened in this location. Prior to Mikiya opening up this place was Zenbu Shabu and wow did they really transform this space. I was in aww the whole time by how beautifully they transformed this place. The atmosphere is definitely high end and the shabu meats were all very delicious. We ordered the $55 menu and it came with an appetizer (we got the tartare and the bone marrow), seafood platter, and ayce meats. The meats are all products of Japan and it seriously reminded us of the shabu we had when we were in Japan. Best shabu spot in the area and what made our experience better was the service! Everyone was so attentive and quick to bring us more meats and ask us if we needed anything else. We will definitely be back again. See you next week! We tried their Gold menu today and the Japanese A5 is so delicious and with so much flavor. My favorite was the Japanese A5 shoulder! Yummy!"
