"This is a great place to stop for lunch and pick up a meal, grocery shop or you can take a minute to explore. The first time I walked into the market, I felt welcomed. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable so you can always find someone to help you. The to-go food offers many choices catering to all types of lifestyles. I've had sushi and the hot dishes. Both of which were superb. Which so much selection, there is always something new to try. I've also purchased meat here. It's a smaller selection than other stores, but the quality was high (and reasonably priced). There is also a fresh produce section and a frozen section that is full of options. Overall I had a basket full of great food selections and new items to try my first time shopping at Marukai. I go back weekly and look forward to the shopping experience."

"One of my favorite places to buy prepared sushi in the West side. Considering inflation, the prices are great and the flavors and freshness is excellent. After 7pm sometimes you could get discounted sushi made in the morning which I recommend to save. The sushi rice is made in Japan. I also recommend the hot yams which they keep toasty!"

"Great parking. Parking is free, they have upper and lower level parking. This is a great place to get Japanese specialty food and snacks. Sushi is made from rice in Japan. They have ice cream from Japan. Service is awesome & so is security. . They also have a makeup section & kitchen ware. You can get alcoholic beverages. . They have a self service checkout."

"This market is great for finding Japanese specialties. There are customers that walk out of this store with multiple bags. So many items appeal to me that I sorta got lost in the moment. You’ll find everything that you need for your Japanese cooking. You’ll also find snacks and noodles, which is my personal favorite. There are more than just that, and the prices on most items here are pretty affordable."

"The store doesn't take EBT currently, I was really surprised because it's a pretty big grocery store and not a small business, I haven't seen that yet and I go out shopping a lot. I was told that they're in the process of applying again and we're denied prior and that the application wasn't accepted. Besides that inconvenience there's so much good stuff there that you don't see anywhere else from Ramen to seafood, candy even some toy's. They do have a self checkout as well, fresh produce and ice. The prices are really good on a lot of things which I really liked. There's plenty of parking and the staff is very nice and helpful. I really enjoyed my time shopping there and browsing through the aisles there. I will definitely be coming back. And looking forward for the EBT to be accepted. I understand that the application wasn't accepted the first time and that they're doing it over so people can use EBT at their stores."
