"Jeremy and the team at Signs by Van took on our very unique project of recreating an 80 year old sign for which we only had a few blurry black and white photos. They came out and took measurements, discussed the wood (we originally wanted redwood to match the arch itself, but they suggested cedar which turned out to be the right call), and drew the unique font by hand. They even did the carved bit on the side of the sign which I was not expecting them to copy. The paint and stain was matched perfectly. They brought their bucket truck out and mounted it on an 80 year old arch to ensure that this sign will be around for another 80 years. The alumni of the Ming Quong Home have been very emotional and happy about this replica, its absolutely identical and everything we could have hoped for. Not to mention the cost was entirely reasonable. Its truly a work of art and they understood the importance of this sign to the alumni and really went the extra mile to deliver.
