"I waited to write this review until after I had gotten my nose rings fixed. A couple years ago I came into the shop and asked if they could take a look at my piercing. Brian proceeded to say it was crooked and needed to come out completely/we needed to start over and he would repierce it in a couple days. This was the first red flag, I did not want this and felt pressured to agree with his expertise. Fast forward y'all I show up on said day and he isn't there! So his very kind apprentice does the piercing, I can't even be mad at them for it being crooked because they shouldn't have had to pierce in the first place. This piercing was crooked and would not stay in my nose, they had over bent the post, so I ended up having to get it piercing a THIRD TIME y'all! All that just to say this shop doesn't value your time or the permanence of what they're doing with your body. My piercer at CDMX listened to my concerns, took time to find the right jewelry for my face, measured my face, drew a line, recalibrated etc, to really make sure it was symmetrical and no ones time was waisted. There's a big difference between a professional and someone just going through the motions. This place is more an assembly line/similar to piercing spots you see near a university. (Important disclaimer: I made a video for this tattoo shop when I worked at Buzzfeed (that has over 2 M views, yikes!) but actually now that I'm older and have had my nose piercing fixed by another piercer I cannot in good conscious recommend this place or Brian Keith Thompson anymore.)"

"I ring the bell at 9:15 and some guy yells out the window “we’re closed” I wasn’t even getting a piercing was going to ask a question or buy jewelry Have a better attitude bro… am I supposed to be sorry goggle says you close at 9:30? I drove almost an hour to get here"

"I had a piercing done here on a recent trip to LA. The owner did my piercing and was fast, friendly, and runs an immaculate shop. The front desk person was extremely sweet and helpful. I was able to schedule an appt same day by calling first thing and leaving a voicemail. They got back to me via text when they opened. It is an appointment only place, so don’t attempt to walk in. Go early to find street parking!"
