Reviews of El Super #17
"The experience was nice and welcoming! There’s something missing though, not sure."
"Just left this store after being racially discriminated against by the cashier Ricardo. I had a barcode on my phone that needed to be scanned for tax purposes. I explained how it worked. He tried to grab my phone and I advised him he could not touch my phone. I asked him to use the hand scanner and he refused. He called a manager and told her that he wasn’t helping me making derogatory comments about me. I will be filing a complaint with corporate for the racial discrimination I received at this store."
"Very much like other Mexican Grocery stores, except this one has an environment with less frills than say Northgate. The prices are pretty good but even though this is a large sized market, the variety isn’t as wide. The market is clean and the shopping experience is pretty simple."
"El Piojoso! El Super is a 3rd world box store. Don't expect to find many name brand products. Fruits and vegetables are low quality. Meats, fish and dairy products must be used right away because it's already old. That's what they use in their restaurant. Check the expiration dates on everything. The store is full of stale items with close to or expired purchasing dates. They stock shelves during shopping hours so you'll have to get around that. If it's busy it can take a long time to check out. Most of the cashier's are pathetically slow."
"bread smells great. actual photo in store. the bread had a crunchy crust, soft interior, an medium sour taste, little a salty if you pay attention, the bread has a low yeast taste to me"
